Atocha28

We had an excellent stay at Atocha28. The reception staff were extremely welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. They kindly allowed us an early check-in as an exception, which was greatly appreciated after our journey. The room was spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. The location is fantastic-within easy walking distance of the main attractions, making it an ideal base for exploring the city. Overall, a great experience with outstanding service, cleanliness, and convenience. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Madrid.

We had the small budget room. It was fine for a night. You need to let the staff know when you are arriving as it is not manned. We rang the buzzer on the door and walked up the stairs to the door which has the name of the hotel on it. There is a lift but it does not go to the floor. We arrived at check in time. The staff do not speak English. The location was good, an easy 15 minute was the palace and museum via the major plaza. There were many restaurants and bars.

We were meant to be sent a code to get in the door and to access the door card key but we’re not sent it. We were fine as it was right on check in time and we were able to talk to the person who was there through some basic Spanish and drawings. After that we did not see anyone on the desk until the next day at check out. It was fine. Just something to be aware of.

Staff present was very kind and but seems like it was only her cleaning all rooms. The sheets were white and comfortable. Great location. Everything you need is a short walk. Grocery store a block away, etc.

There were ants. Amenities were very minimal a flat packet of shampoo, small tube of body wash. Towel were ok.
