Hotel & Gasthof Fraundorfer

The place has history. You can see all the photos dating back in time. The dining hall is full of rustic heads of deers etc. Their restaurant is often packed with locals and tourist alike. During dinner, the live entertainment just bonds everyone together. It consists of a man playing an accordion and kids dressed in local attire dancing to local songs. While the crowd is somewhat noisy, the rooms above are quiet. We spent some time relaxing on the spacious balcony and drinking local beers bought from local stores. Of course, beer can be bought in the restaurant below, but we wanted to just space out without the noise. One can walk around the Old Town and see so many different beautiful buildings with painted artwork on the building walls. We enjoyed sitting on the street drinking coffee watching other tourists taking pictures and enjoying the slow pace of the area. The location and place of this hotel is a good place for a romantic getaway.

The restaurant served a great breakfast with friendly staff. The dinner was also very good.

The dinner show was not what it had been in the past. Just 2 boys doing one traditional dance. The kitchen staff took frequent cigarette breaks and the smoke went right into our bedroom window until very late into the night.

Great location, traditional Bavarian throughout, wonderful staff who get to know you, great breakfast.

Everything, it was a wonderful experience, great accomodation, great food and in the evening great entertainment.
