Ok, I went for Oktoberfest. The really good thing about the place is that it's only about 1/2 mile from the main Oktoberfest Fair Ground. That said, it's a bit far from Old Town, hoofing it. Actually, not so bad if you're younger. However, I believe there's easy subway access to Old Town, like maybe ten minutes away. There was a shared bath and shower. The bath and shower were different rooms. My room was right next to the bathroom. My final night there I was awoken by (I believe it was) a woman vomiting and such in the bathroom. It went on for a long-ish time and sounded truly disgusting what was going on in there. No doubt she had a good time at Oktoberfest! Anyway, I eventually fell back to sleep and then got up and rushed about packing 'cause I had to get to the airport. I really hadn't seen or interacted with the people running the place for the few days I had stayed there. I found someone and asked him to get me a cab to the airport. He was kind. But he mentioned he had a job ahead of him with the bathroom. Then I remembered. I told him -- I hope and think he believed me -- that it wasn't me who left whatever mess there was in there. ( I hadn't remembered about it when I awoke and didn't use the bathroom, thank goodness!) I think he said whoever it was did try to clean it up but really couldn't / didn't do much. He didn't seem angry but...nor was he particularly pleased about the task ahead of him. Overall, not a bad place to stay for someone on a budget. Quiet neighborhood, etc.
