About this house rental

We are in the district of Montplaisir, residential and quiet a few minutes from the city center of Arles and ideal for visiting the region, from the Camargue to the Alpilles. The house of the 60s has kept its welcoming spirit, modern and vintage atmosphere, all in color. The ground floor of our house is the summer part, direct access to the garden. Large airy rooms and fresh summer. Welcome to all!

Arriving the first thing we saw was trash in the patio and the ashtray full of cigarette. I don-t know what it is typical in Provence France about the yard. It was not well taken care of, The yard *was not even gras, but weeds*, was the view of the little terrace of the bedroom. The curtain in the bedroom, to the terrace, is a safety hazards for the hanging string can catch your neck. Plus, the windows at night could not be open, because there was no screens on the window and terrace door. The patio needs a light during the night to walk to the door or sit outside. We were surprised to find personal items in the storage rooms including their food in the freezer. Kitchen was ok. Though all bottles, as vinaigrette, oil were open. It has been already used. Bed sofa not all all comfortable. It was hard to find first how to unfold the bed sofa and to find out the pillows and duvet were not new but full of stains. Not very pleasant. The matraze in the bedroom also had at the each end stains. We didn’t look for more. So all in all, we got what we paid for, though this is not an excuse.

Wir konnten schon um 16 uhr in Wohnung, vielen lieben dank dafür. Wir würden sehr herzlich und persönlich empfangen. Es gibt sehr viel Info Material, mit sehr guten Ausflugs Ideen. Zu Beispiel der Strand der empfohlen wird ist wirklich sehr abgeschieden und wunderschön. Wir waren durch unsere Jobs sehr gestresst und wollten etwas erholt haben und uns die schöne Altstadt anschauen. Zum Stadtkern ist es von der Wohnung wirklich nicht weit aber auch mit den Auto ist sie gut zu erreichen, im Frühling haben wir dort auch immer, sehr preiswert, Parkmöglichkeiten gefunden. In der Wohnung war an ruhe leider nicht zu denken. Die Wände sind sehr dünn und man teilt sich den Eingangsbereich mit der Familie von den Vermietern. Die Türen gingen auf und zu und jedes mal gibt es ein unglaublich Krach. Ab 20 Uhr ist es dann aber auch rühiger im Haus. Der Garten ist sehr verfallen (oder Naturbelassene) und hat mich etwas erschrocken. Also, wer gern ausschläft und Ruhe sucht ist hier am Wochenende falsch, wer den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist und hier nur kurz Schlaf will, ist aufgrund der Lage und sehr guten Ausstattung der Wohnung genau richtig. Die Ausstattung ist sehr schön, es ist wirklich alles da und noch mehr aber es ist auch alles sehr abgenutzt und es müssten mal wieder etwas neues angeschafft werden. Zu Beispiel die Matratze ist durch gelegen, die Stühle sind mit Klebeband repetiert. Es ist eine sehr sauber Wohnung. Die Vermieter sind wirklich sehr nett und bemüht. Es war leider nicht das richtige für uns.

Very nice place and hosts. The 60's decoration gives charm and personality to the place, which has two really cool VW vans on the garage! The place is spacious and fully equiped, has outside space where kids can play, is located in a quiet and safe residencial neighborhood that is 15 min awat by foot from Arles' downtown. The hosts are very sweet and responsive. Perfect for a family stay.

Une maison joliment décorée avec accès au jardin, idéale pour souffler un peu entre deux expos, et bien située à 10 minutes à pied du centre. Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour chez nos hôtes Damien et Caroline qui nous ont accueillis très chaleureusement !

Ci siamo trovati bene nella casa di Damian nonostante qualche inconveniente con l'impianto elettrico che andrebbe rivisto (mancava la luce centrale in soggiorno e bisognerebbe aggiungere qualche presa in camera da letto). Non abbiamo trovato gli asciugamani. I locali sono ampi e arredati in modo semplice, buona l'attrezzatura. Una bella sorpresa il tappeto elastico in giardino! La casa è in una zona molto tranquilla a circa 1,5 km dal centro, non ci sono negozi o locali nei dintorni. Damian non era presente, ma ci ha fornito tutte le informazioni necessarie via mail e lasciando opuscoli e comunicazioni scritte in casa. Grazie di tutto!
