Comfortable and homely stay in a fabulous location

Fabulous location and friendly, homely establishment. Very good breakfast. Fairly basic in a rustic way but comfortable nonetheless.

Always a little intimidating when an unknown German Shepherd dog greets you in the car park . Was very friendly but could put some guests off !

Nice and relaxing with magnificent views

Lovely quiet location which is just what we needed after a day hiking. We had the Burger for dinner on the terrace which was delicious. The breakfast was great, the owners very nice and the bed was very comfortable. We highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a peaceful location.

The restaurant menu is only in French, it would be helpful if they had an English version, and the owners also only speak French which can be a little challenging when trying to communicate.

Breakfast in the Mountains!

The surrounding landscape at the hotel was majestic with grazing cattle in the distance. Our hosts were very kind and hospitable. We enjoyed our breakfast outdoors overlooking the vistas. In all, our stay was unique and lovely.

Idyllic getaway.

Location, hospitality, food. Dinner was divine, enjoyed the wines of the region. The log fire and the amazing views. Room was huge with everything we needed. Shower is powerful and hot. Loved the decor and the teddies and watching the sun rise

In general, apart from the geographical location, the hotel is very good!

The owner of the hotel is very kind and helpful! Because the location of the hotel was not easy to find, we were almost lost in the mountain forest at night. With the help of several warm-hearted young French men, the owner of the hotel determined our location, drove to find us and led us to the hotel, which moved our whole family very much. The view of the hotel is impeccable. From the hotel room, you can see the beautiful and spectacular mountain scenery! The hotel rooms are highly automated, the facilities are very advanced, the maintenance is very good, and the rooms are clean and tidy!

It is suggested that the owner of the hotel contact Google Map to update the navigation and positioning of the hotel, otherwise the possibility of finding the hotel by self driving families is almost zero! WiFi in the hotel is unavailable.

A hidden true to life gem at Lac Blanc's ski resort.

A fantastic location, with stunning view, exciting access tru a path ( ok for cars, but 4 snow tires mandatory ) which gets u feel "this is adventure"... Then the extremely chilled & friendly attitude of the owners, their kids & their dog made me feel so welcome... to a place where the room is twice bigger than the average studio-flat in Paris... and you close the deal with A-league home-cooked truly Alsacian food, schnaps ( and wine, which i did not try this time ) => This place IS definitely my new Alsacian-home...On top of it, u are 10 min' drive from Lac Blanc ski resort, and 25 Min' drive from the famous Munster city. i forgot to mention the huge terrace overlooking the valley, as if u were King of the World...and all the trekking & mountain bike - path crossing the House's Estate... and i also forgot to mention a true baby-foot ( this table soccer game, typical of French' bars ) available for clients... and a bar on premises... and certainly so much more...so i gonna come back, for sure.

Only one suggestion ( personal taste ) : maybe harder mattresses in beds, but as said, this is my own taste, not everybody's taste. So it is not really a bad point, but only a very biased suggestion meeting my own tastes,

As usual the kindness of the hosts, the great location in nature and near slops for ski, snow shoe, and hiking, very tasty food. Our 10 year old loves this place too We have not tried the tricky tracks but seems fun

Incredible view, super clean and nice rooms, friendly staff Surrounding is very nice, a lot of nice paths for hiking. Skiing is also possible

The only little negative point about the accommodations is that communication is only possible in French, however the owners are super friendly and try to guarantee a perfect stay

Comfortable appartment with stunnig view in the middle of nowhere

Spacy and comfortable appartment with stunning view.

I wouldn't name this as a con, it just has to be considered as a fact: The house is 2km away from the main road in the middle of nowhere. If you are travelling by bicylce (like we did) and the restaurant inhouse is closed that day (like we were informed in advance by the landlord), you have a walk of another 2km to a restaurant at Lac Blanc.

Second visit: still awesome

This is my second stay in the property, this time with kid and dog: awesome as my first stay. Location in nature is great and quiet, you can see many wild animals. Nice lakes and hike trails around, found is simple and delicious

I will have my third stay next week, I might be able to find something less positive for this section :-)

Relax in the nature!

The view is just stunning!!! Room was clean and spacious, bed was comfy. The staff is friendly and I also recommend to eat at the restaurant on site.

Superb

I stayed here for two nights on my hiking trip. The place is great with the best view over the valley which you can enjoy while eating breakfast on a terrace. The room was very comfortable and big with the same beautiful view. The restaurant didn't work on Wednesdays but the owner left me a cold platter and a pie because I didn't have a car. A highly recommended family-run place if you want to relax and explore the area around.

The only thing I would say is that the location on booking is wrong by around 2km. Normally it wouldn't matter too much but since I was hiking it meant for me extra walking which I wish I had known in advance.

La situation géographique, au milieu de la forêt vosgienne. La neige était au rendez-vous, mais heureusement, nous avions des pneus neige. Autre point positif : l'accueil chaleureux et prévenant (les propriétaires ont vérifié que nous n'aurions pas de problème pour arriver et repartir, malgré la neige). Dîner sympathique, avec pas mal de choix en boissons et en plats à la carte.

Toller Panorama-Ausblick

Neues Bad und großzügiges Zimmer mit tollem Panorama-Ausblick nach Süden. Man konnte sich sogar einen warmen Tee oder Kaffee im Zimmer machen. Wir waren ziemlich nass und durchgefroren von einer langen Tageswanderung und waren froh, dass im Gastraum (Restaurant) ein Feuer brannte. Unsere nassen Wanderschuhe konnten wir vor dem Kamin trocknen.

Leider haben wir nicht verstanden, wie die Heizung im Zimmer funktioniert - es war ganz schön kalt nachts im Zimmer (vielleicht ist das in den Vogesen immer so ?) . Ich war auch zu müde um nachzufragen, Toilettenpapierhalter fehlte.

Certains comportements humains par rapport aux animaux en sachant que même si ils n'en ont pas qu'ils ont choisis un logement où nos amis à 4 pattes sont les bienvenues... On peut comprendre que tout le monde n'est pas à son aise avec les chiens mais il y a des limites 😉
