La Vela Apartment

Lovely open setting with an overlook of the garden. Windows everywhere helped keep the home cool on sunny days. The garden was quaint and lovely. We used the barbecue which was a great addition for an evening meal.

No WiFi. This should be a must. The stove is run by a gas tank. The tank sends constant pressure to the burners and there is little adjustment as the burners are too high, even on the lowest setting. It is impossible to slow cook anything on the stove top.

My real note is a about 7.5, but because 0.5 is not permitted, I just rounded it up because of nice hosts. The biggest advantage of this place is the owner, she was really nice and she was messaging me during the stay just to check if everything is okay. The big advantage is the 'natural ventilation' of the apartment, we did not have to use the air conditioning, because it was enough to properly open the windows and it immediately got cooler. The rooms were clean and tidy and the neighborhood relatively quiet and peaceful.

In general, I think this area is overpriced. There are places where you can find really better stays for the same price, hence I cannot give a high mark for the price / quality ratio, I think I paid too much for what I got. The second thing is the location, which in theory is close to all interesting points, but in practice it takes at least half an hour to get anywhere when you don't want to use the bus/car/other vehicle on daily basis.

There is no conditioner and you can't open windows because of masquitos.

We appreciated the snacks left in the fridge and cupboards

The fold out bed was broken and the sheets for the beds were very hot and scratchy.
