About this house rental

Villa Pergolone is a beautifully converted 11th century hay barn, located in the hills south of Lucca in a small hamlet and easily accessible by car via a quiet road. It's a 12min drive to the famous Lucca city walls. We have a stunning 10x5m swimming pool nestled among the 24 olive trees in the 2,000 sqm garden.
3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Sleeps 7 comfortably. Large, well-equipped kitchen. Laundry with washer/dryer. There are books and board games for children and the large garden to play in. Supermarket, butcher, restaurants are within a few minutes walk or drive.
Great as a base from which to explore Tuscany, being 30min from Pisa, 45min from Florence and 1:30h from Siena and Cinque Terre. Beaches are just 30min away (Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi). Activities in the local area include trekking, mountain biking and sampling the fabulous local cuisine and wine. The area is well-known for its quality olive-oil and natural spring water.

Wonderful Home
This property is well located for easy day trips in Tuscany. The house is beautiful and located in a wonderful small village that has a great butcher and great restaurant. Having the pool was great especially after a long hot day of touring. The host and owner were very responsive and helpful and recommended local attractions and restaurants. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The villa is in a beautiful, peaceful location in the hills south of Lucca. Many hikes and walks just from the doorstep. A short drive to Lucca. We used it as a base to cycle; and there are lots of quiet, enjoyable routes in the area. The living area is very comfortable with lots of space both inside and outside. The owner/host is a delight to work with. The caretakers were prompt and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
