Breakfast on our own. Coffee pot good, many bakeries nearby. Fridge good. Cafe within walking distance

Excellent location very near to a tram straight into Heidelberg, plus shops & cafes in Eppelheim. Property very clean and quiet. Good facilities. Good communication. Just what we wanted.

Our worst ever guest experience in over 30 years of travel!

There was running hot and cold water and electric light!, free parking at the rear of the property (and we always found a space), the fridge worked (even if the door jammed)

Fully inadequate level of hygiene and safety that was a complete insult to us as guests (no toilet paper, heaviliy ingrained dirt and contamination along the skirting boards as well as in and around the shower, an open half-eaten jar of goulash in the pantry that had already attracted insects, no shower mat although the shower door leaked and the flooring was extremely smooth, absolutely no safety or fire escape information, dilapidated table top, scale on the stove hotplate etc. etc). See photos to get a true impression of the property! In over 30 years of travel throughout Western Europe and USA, we have never come across such unworthy accomodation. Ms. Becker's reaction to our initial request for a fast solution to issue no 1 added further insult to injury (to avoid embaressment I won't go into details). After seeing the appalling state of the property the next day and officially complaining to Ms. Becker in writing, the only reaction has been a mixture of excuses and allegations. Not even a simple apology, and certainly not any kind of offer for reparation. Judging by all the suprisingly good ratings, maybe we were just very very unfortunate. Nevertheless, based on our experience, we can only recommend vistors to Heidelberg to dig a bit deeper into their pockets and find a worthy base for exploring the countless delights of city.

Excellent location, great value for money.

Random people knocking on doors, saying they thought the room was vacant. Noises from the corridor at late hours as only one door separates the room/ bedroom from the corridor where other people were talking loudly.

at best a very rudimentary and careless relatively new, furnished flat/ electrical items unusable

central located, BUT parking is always! very much an issue

this is not at all in the 'normal' BOOKING.com standard it is a Newish basic Ikea furnished room ...with electrical equipment were dumped onTOP of the wardrobe cupboard - they are 'present' BUT are not usable .../ not plugged into Electrical outlets... All in all, a Mis-selling ... of the wildest order. [and I have been around the block a bit in my time] 1) Unusable Microwave....no wall plug -electric outlet /steckdose vorhanden!! /see att. photos!! ... >>> PLUS, this unusable microwave blocks most of the very small 1- table- a totally unusable item. Worse than useless. 2) NO sockets for electric utensils = toaster, kettle ,-even incomplete coffee machine. >>> NONE can be used safely! - only if you operate each! >> Electrical item >>on the laminate floor next to a socket e.g. after lifing the HEAVY Microwave around the room, or connect the Kettle over the electic Hotplates!! [Safety is Fremdwort here] 3) We had 2 people and BOOKED via your Booking.com site accordingly >>> for - at least at times- self-catering ... 4) But the rudimentary and careless relatively new- furnished flat - has just 1 mug, no cups... NOT AS ADVERTISED...is the best friendly description of this 'Bedsitter, apartment?/flat' 5) IN addition for the SELLER: A warning for over the 20-year-olds about the treacherous stairs has to be part of the description! Heating is seemingly building wide already turned off ...making the tiled floor drying out of the overflowing shower .. a task for the adventurous

Good but very strong smell of smoke

easy check-in and apart from the smell everything was as described. Beds were comfortable.

The room had a very strong smell of smoke. Even airing it out did not help. It was not pleasant to sleep in this smell and I got a really bad headache.

Bit too pricey for the service

It was very clean, very good location and overall a good stay!

Many essentials were absent. There wasn't any shampoo in the shower, no cleaning stuff, toaster was not working. The host didn't replied to most of the messages. During our entire stay (of 15 nights), there wasn't a single room service provided.

Very pleasant and I will certainly recontact the owner prior to my next trip to Eppelheim.

Perfect location, very quiet, practical set-up, not even ten minutes from the family members I was visiting. Equipped with the basics of what one or two people need for a short stay. It was really nice being on a quiet street, yet right around the corner from the tram stop.

-clean bathroom -comfortable beds (not too soft or too firm) -good range of appliances for a small holiday apartment -good size for 2 people -tram stop just around the corner

-noisy neighbours (vacuum cleaner running upstairs around midnight; next door neighbours arguing aggressively and loudly after 11pm) -building entrance door not lockable, so anyone could enter the building -some kitchen items not clean, and Teflon frying pan unsafe to prepare food (Teflon coming off / would mix with food... ) -cigarette smoke from outside the apartment creeping in from underneath the door

Convenient location to the friends I visited

The location close to the friends I visited who live in Eppelheim.

The instructions how to enter the property were in German but I am not a German speaker . Secondly, the code to enter was given wrong and my friends who I visited had to call the owner to sort out the problem as I do not speak any German. I wonder if I had arrived and had no one to call for me how I would have entered the property for the stay which had already been paid for. The recommendation for the owner is to make sure that the guests are given instructions in English , not only in German and to double check if the code to enter the property is correctly set up. There had been a big spider on the wall , which was another thing I did not like. Overall, the property was a bit overpriced for the comfort offered.

Nice and very clean apartment in the attic, convenient layout, nice alcove with kids beds, great shower and dishwasher, washing machine and drier facilities. All in all we really enjoyed our stay!

Not enough plates and spoons. It could be nice to have tea available for the guests. The Host communicated in German, we used Google translate and friends to translate from German to English. :)

Alles Bestens

Das ZImmer war hell, sauber, warm und gut ausgestattet. Frau Becker war bei Rückfragen sehr freundlich und gute erreichbar. Die Lage ist sehr gut, still und zentral. Wir hatten eine echt gute Zeit.

Wir sind nicht verwöhnt, hätten uns aber gefreut, wenn die Wohnung etwas funktionaler und sauberer

Die Ruhe war sehr schön.

Es fehlten : eine Gardine, ein Betthaupt (schwarze Wand), liebvollere Ausstattung was das Geschirr bzw. Bestesck anbelangt, bessere Reinigung, mehr Abstellfläche, mehr Aufhängungsmöglichkeiten, Duschmatte den es war sehr hohe Rutschgefahr in der Dusche, ein Stöpsel für die Spüle. Allem im allem war es eine Monteurwohnung. Ach ja und vielleicht ein schönes einfaches Bild. Wir siind nicht verwöhnt, aber etwas mehr Aufmerksamkeit täte der Unterkunft gut.

Kurzurlaub rund um Heidelberg

Relativ zentral an die Stadt Heidelberg angebunden. Stadt mit ÖPNV gut zu erreichen in ca. 15-20 Minuten. Parkplatz im Innenhof.

Zimmer war im Kellergeschoss des Gebäudes. Mehrere Wohnungen (vermutlich Studentenappartmens) in dem ganzen Haus. Keine Hinweise des Vermieters zum Aufenthalt, Mülltrennung, Sehenswürdigkeiten ect. Küchengeräte wie Mikrowelle innen verschmutzt und zum Teil angerostet, Kaffeemaschine verkalkt (braucht 1/2 Stunde bis durchgelaufen) und Abdeckung Wasserbehälter defekt. 1 Steckdose für Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher und Mikrowelle nur vorhanden. Kein Kochbesteck wie bspw. Schöpfkelle vorhanden. Allgemein unter den Betten und auf den Kleiderschrank lag Staub bzw. Dreck. Fahrradständer im Innenhof waren alle belegt mit zum Teil angeschlossenen zum Teil kaputten Fahrrädern.

Recht günstig wirkende Unterkunft; Bad frisch renoviert

Parken im Hinterhof; nicht genügend Parkplätze für alle Hausbewohner vorhanden; an der Straße kein Platz. Wohnung „abgewohnt“; Couch war mit Decke überzogen, Stühle waren teilweise die Sitzbezüge kaputt. Kein Backofen

Wie immer top und wir kommen wieder

Wir sind zum wiederholten Mal dort zu das gelesen vor allem die Lage und und die Tatsache, dass wir komplett uns selbst entscheiden können wann, was wir machen ist für uns und in der Art von Familienurlaub immer wieder ein Segen

El fuego para cocinar no funcionaba y no pudimos cocinar nada. Reservamos un apartamento con cocina, que no existía. Llamamos al propietario, enviamos mensaje y nada se nos contesto.
