Food incredible. Stay unpleasant.

The food was incredible, and the staff were so so lovely. We had an issue with our room when we first arrived (unpleasant sewage smell) and the staff were apologetic and quick to sort the issue.

I hadn’t realised we were in a room, and not a garden cabin which isn’t made clear on booking.com (not overly as issue). But our neighbours were interesting.. the people opposite smoking cannabis in their room. And the room next door having visitings everything 30 minutes throughout the night, until 8am (very odd)! Unfortunately this meant zero sleep for us. And due to this reason alone we wouldn’t return, which is a shame considering the 5* standard of food and restaurant service.

Out-door metal staircase to access our room which was described as 'in the house' was an unpleasant wet surprise. The bathroom facilities were as described but the room was VERY small.

Staff couldn't do enough for you. The food was amazing, the dining experience was relaxed, didn't feel rushed at all so was able to enjoy the whole evening there.

Only thing was the people in the room next to us played their music louder than we would have liked... But that's not the hotels fault.

You will go a long way to find a pub that serves high quality food and service like the Kings Arms.

This is an excellent pub, the food was of a very high quality the service was excellent and the restaurant and bar areas were very clean and and well laid out with high quality furnishings.

Our room was upstairs we were in the Primrose room which was very clean and well appointed however the hot water system was poor in a two night stay we never had HOT water if you got up early in the morning it was just warm enough for a shower the rest of the day it wasn’t. I raised the problem with a member of staff who checked and said the water in the tank was not hot as it fed the whole pub and got used up quickly. This needs addressing urgently as you are in contravention of Legionella Control regulations which requires hot water exceeds 50deg. C at the point of use which it never was here.

Lovely atmosphere and the themed cabins were great. Use of the hot tub was a bonus. The pub is lovely and food was really good.

In the owl garden room, there was a little bit of mould in the bathroom that could easily be removed. This didn’t dump in our stay as we have a really good time.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. The Bluebell room (cheapest and a little snug for the larger person) was spotless with good facilities. Access is via an outside stairway. Would describe it as a gastro pub. Evening meal and breakfast were excellent.

Relaxing and well fed - amazing food.

Finally got round to staying the night here for some much needed relaxation, after a busy few months. The staff were really welcoming and took us to our lodge and showed us how to work the hot tub. We stayed in the Owl Lodge. The room was clean, and the bed super soft and comfy. The restaurant is 2AA rosette, so I was very much looking forward to some fine dining. I had the sea bass starter in a Thai broth. Absolutely incredible. Josh had the beef fillet salad, that came with a blue cheese and said the beef just melted in his mouth. For main, I had the pork belly with crackling, which also came with pork fillet and black pudding. A little too much meat for me (so they happily boxed up and will take home for Coco). The carrot puree was my favourite, so I kept saying to Josh! He had the deer, with dauphinois potatoes. They were rich in garlic and lots of rosemary. I had fondant potatoes, which were slightly overdone for me. The black pudding, although slightly too salty, did taste incredible. Finished off with complimentary breakfast of Eggs Royale. All fresh, thick slices of salmon, hollandaise sauce seasoned well with lemon and pepper.

Not their fault but the church bells ringing every hour even through the night. Shower nozzle could have been better. Screen needed for extra privacy from car park and church / public, whilst in hot tub.

The hotel was lovely and clean, the area was beautiful and quiet. The room was very spacious and had everything you needed. Room decor was lovely.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. The only thing I would say was it’s a bit awkward when you’re eating your breakfast and you have the owner and staff doing paper work on the table next you but it didn’t really bother us.

Our accommodation, the food, owner and all staff make the Kingsarms Hotel well worth a visit/stay.

Excellent selection and served hot and very quickly. Table settings were immaculate and very attentive staff.

Everything was exceptional and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Kingsarms Hotel. We had a lovely evening meal on four nights and the fillet steaks were delicious.

Don’t think we will be returning.

Staff were polite and friendly. Evening meal was very good but extremely expensive.

Issues with size of room, very small, cleanliness also. Could not close the window, blind was broken and constant noise from kitchen appliances all throughout the night so very poor sleep quality. The only way to the room was by an external metal staircase which is not good if you suffer with arthritis and don’t like heights, not to mention when it has rained, very precarious.

Nice location & pleasant staff.

Location was ideal for our purpose of our visit to Norfolk. Staff were very polite and friendly. Restaurant and the outside bar area was very clean with a good selection of food & drink. Food including breakfast was very good.

The Primrose room was very small and there was only just enough room to allow you to walk around the bed. The carpet outside the bathroom was also stained and could do with a clean. It was very warm outside during our stay, therefore the window was left ajar, however we were disturbed by the noise from what we believed to be an A/C unit powering on and off outside. It is not made clear before booking that breakfast starts at 8:30am and therefore I would not recommend for business travellers.

Lovely clean rooms. Aircon was a dream but for my elderly parents they struggled using it so a guide to the aircon in the rooms would be handy. Staff really friendly and polite.

Only thing that put me off was eating in the bar as they allowed dogs. My evening meal I had a dog laid out next to me which actually blocked the walk way so people stepped over it. The owners paid no attention and at breakfast a dog went for me when I went to sit down. It then shook and I ended up with floating dog hairs in my coffee. It’s the owners fault with the behaviour but for someone with allergy’s it is an unenjoyable meal. The food is expensive and I really don’t feel like it’s worth the price tag.

Great pub with cabin accommodation

The cabin accommodation was very comfortable, quiet, lovely decor and good facilities. It was very convenient to be able to eat in the restaurant and our evening meal was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Breakfast choice was limited to cooked options only but again was very tasty.

If you're looking for a very good restaurant with rooms this is right for you.

Breafast and dinner were both very good. Staff were attentive and friendly. Room was clean and tidy with complimentary drinks, TV etc.

Room was quite small and tucked away along passages up stairs. This was essentially a good restaurant with rooms and as such was excellent. After 9 o'clock on a week-day evening it fell quiet - clearly not a busy local!
