Whether you’re seeking tranquillity, adventure, or quintessential Norfolk charm, this idyllic retreat in Wickhampton offers peaceful views and a sense of rural escape, the ideal getaway for couples and families. Located in the heart of Norfolk’s Broadland countryside, Wickhampton is a peaceful village that feels almost untouched by time, offering quiet lanes to explore and a warm rural community ambience. The Broads National Park is a haven for keen outdoor explorers and nature lovers alike, with its serene waterways and wildlife to discover, as well as a host of historic market towns. Explore the broads from the nearby village of Reedham (4 miles) or Acle (6 miles) and Loddon (7.5 miles), which are brimming with independent shops and cosy cafés, while the medieval city of Norwich, 16 miles away, is rich with culture and boasts an historic cathedral. The beautiful beaches of Winterton-on-Sea and Caister-on-Sea provide wide sandy shores and unspoilt coastal walks, both reachable within 16 miles.

A small pantry cupboard and boot room off the kitchen provide plenty of space for your local produce and holiday essentials. Wash off a long day in the delightful ground-floor bathroom, which features a shower and a quirky corner bath, perfect for a relaxing soak. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, one double and one small double, which both feature delightful en-suite facilities – one offering a bathroom with shower over the bath, the other a shower room – and plenty of homely touches including a sofa and dresser in the larger bedroom. Please note the ground-floor bathroom is accessed via a step up and then a further step down into the bathroom.
Surrounded by beautiful rural countryside, the expansive, enclosed lawned garden wraps around the cottage and features a patio and garden furniture, perfect for al fresco dining. There is private parking available for two cars.
