Location was great, and the apartment was spacious and comfortable.
We had a little issue at the check in cause we were not sure if the cleaning team was still in the apartment or if we could enter already. After a couple phone calls we were able to get into the apartment and everything went fine from there.

Great location--close to restaurants and co-ops; clean, simple, and comfortable decor; quiet area.
No waste or trash bins in bathrooms. Sockets for hair styling not near bathrooms or mirrors.

Very clean. Well appointed. Comfortable. Close to lots of independent stores and cafes. Walkable into Edinburgh city centre (about 25 minutes). Host very helpful and made sure everything was okay.
The stairs could be an issue if you have mobility problems

Great location and very nice view from window
Kitchen / Fan was broken and there was no indication in notes how to handle extra smoke
Bathroom shower water took some time to get a consistent temperature
Apartment is old - noisy and beds are not that comfortable
No fans and if we leave the window open lot of noise in the night
