I did like this property however if using the loft/upstairs 2 single beds for very young or physically challenged people you need to be very careful as stairs is extremely steep.

Perfect location with wonderful hosts

Wonderful couple of nights at Hervé’s and Isabelle’s lovely old house. The room they rent out is separate from the main house and beautifully cool on a very hot day. Clean, comfortable and central yet quiet. About a 15 minute walk from the train station. Hervé is a great host, full of useful information and super-friendly.

What a charming bed and breakfast - right near the heart of the old downtown area. Owners Herve and Isabell were helpful, generous hosts who made us feel right at home.

Excellent and Affordable Accommodations

Very nice, affordable and private room in a very convenient location. The Bayeux town center is a 2-3 minute walk away. Herve and Isabelle were warm and welcoming hosts. Would certainly stay here again.

Breakfast was basic. We had a chocolate croissant, bread with butter or jams, and coffee. We also had orange juice.

We booked our stay in order to have separate beds. The separate bed was up a steep flight of steps that was more similar to a ladder.

We would gladly visit again - for the host, the space, and the area.

The host was wonderful, helpful, friendly, hospitable, and kind. The location was so wonderful with pretty good parking, right out the door to restaurants, shops, and attractions. Drivable to many significant historical venues.

On the small side - but completely expected for that area and era. For someone large or tall, or would be less comfortable. Note to self - Sundays and Mondays, Bayeaux is largely closed. Peaceful but limited services.

Great location, just a few steps from the centre of town. Lovely room for the two of us, the inclusion of a USB hub to help charge devices was an unexpected bonus. Host was very knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations for places to eat and things to do

The pillows and bed were very comfortable. The building is very old, a novelty for Americans. Breakfast was on time. Good coffee and baguettes and croissants. Variety of Jellies offered. Room was clean. Teenage girls were comfortable and cozy in the loft. Location to Bayeux sites was wonderful. Host was helpful in recommending delicious restaurants and places to visit between Bayeux and Mont St Michel.

Superb

Had a lovely 2 night stay at this property on our way to a wedding further south. Separate annex was, spotlessly clean, cosy and well equipped. Entrance was through the family home but they were very welcoming so that was not an issue. Location was 5 minute walk to the restaurants and bars of Bayeaux which is well worth a visit.

Best place possible to stay in Bayeux.

We had a small cottage in the back that must have been several hundred years old, but all updated and perfect. Very tastefully appointed. We accessed the cottage through the owners' house, and were welcomed as family. We ate at the main family table. The husband and wife were incredibly friendly and helpful in getting answers for our site-seeing. We were only a few blocks from the main part of town and could walk to the train station. I really can't say enough about what a wonderful place it was to stay, especially if you want to see how the locals live.

Superb

Great location. Clean and pleasant. The family shared their eating space with us, and went out of their way to ensure we had the breakfast items we liked to eat. They even drove us to the train station when it was time to leave.

No real negative issues at all. The only thing to be aware of is that it is ideal for a couple, perhaps with a child or two. A bit less ideal if you’re traveling with a friend, and need two separate beds for two adults.

An adequate place for one or two.

This is a small room situated in a tiny courtyard behind the owners residence. It served our needs well enough. We were lucky enough to find a parking space near by but I don't know if that's always the case. The location is very convenient for walking to bars and restaurants close by. Herve, the owner, is friendly and helpful, but since we don't know any French, communication was a bit challenging.

This is a B&B, so navigating to the address was a little confusing as it's not well marked. Access to the room is also a little awkward because you have to walk through Herve's home to get to it. FYI, this room would be best for a single or a couple. It states it can sleep 3 or 4, but access to the two twin beds is the attic would difficult for many.

Super Standort um Bayeux zu erkunden

Sehr schönes zentral gelegenes Zimmer in einem Anbau über den Hof. Alles sauber und ordentlich. Frühstück gibt es im Esszimmer des Gastgebers mit Croissant, Baguette Marmelade und Obst. Alle sind sehr nett und sprechen auch englisch. Die Gespräche waren immer sehr nett und man hat gute Tipps für Unternehmungen oder Restaurants bekommen. Das Auto kann kostenlos in der Straße oder in einer Nebenstraße geparkt werden. Man findet eigentlich immer gut einen Parkplatz.

Um zum Zimmer zu kommen muss man immer durch den Wohnbereich des Gastgebers. Was aber nicht schlimm ist.
