Great location. Only 5 minute walk from station, shops and bus stops Cottage was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay Ideal base for exploring the Lakes

Had a couple of issues, couldn't work the oven and no instructions Smoke alarm started beeping at 2am on Friday morning so didn't get much sleep! Went to Lakelovers office and they sent out a maintenance man to fix issues

A lovely house with a well equipped kitchen and great location

It is in a good central location in Windermere

The standards of housekeeping and maintenance in the property didn’t meet our expectations for example: The WiFi wasn’t working, we tried rebooting the router but the signal was still very weak so we couldn’t use it. There were 3 Spotlights out in kitchen making it very dark in there. The handrail on the stairs leading to the dining room and kitchen is loose/wobbly/dangerous. The house instructions were limited to two scrappy bits of paper that we had to go hunting for. Lights were not working in hallway. There is also insufficient lighting on stairwell from the upstairs bedrooms. There was no lightbulb in ceiling light in upstairs double bedroom. The tone of the note re checkout day left on fireplace is extremely curt. No battery in clock in the kitchen. The side panel of the downstairs bath coming off Had to wipe kitchen side when we arrived as this was dirty. Also the “parking spot” is very small indeed, it would be worth asking neighbours to ask their guests to park more considerately! Finally, you might want to check the suitability of the fire extinguisher in the kitchen as dry powder is only meant for outdoor fires and can make people ill if they inhale it. Overall, it feels like you don’t have to try as a property in this location will no doubt book out anyway!
