We had a comfortable stay in a lovely part of the country.

The village of Tideswell is gorgeous and the house was in a great location for exploring the Peak District. The owners were very responsive and helpful.

The layout of the property, with the bathroom being on a different floor to the bedrooms, took a little getting used to.

Very enjoyable stay and the hosts are excellent. Great location and walks from the doorstep.

Pillows need updating and would be helpful to have a corner shelf in the smaller bedroom for a reading lamp.

Location is fantastic - set in the middle of Tideswell and in a nice quiet place. House was very clean, hosts very accommodating. Now stayed here twice as we enjoyed it so much.

The stairway is tight so taking up luggage up 2 flight of narrow stairs can be a challenge. Something to be aware of rather than an issue.

A quirky cottage in an amazing location.

1A Market place is a fabulous little cottage in the heart of Tideswell. It has enough space to relax and enjoy the local area. The kitchen is well equipped. The lounge is cosy, the bathroom is lovely and the beds very comfy. The second bedroom is small. The layout of the cottage is quite quirky and we really enjoyed staying here for our long weekend. The heating was easy to operate and we were all very cosy for our February stay. The host were really lovely, in a call before the stay, to arrange the key collection, the host were so helpful recommending places to visit. We had an amazing dinner on our first night at The Star which is just 2 mins walk down the road. We will be back in the autumn as we all loved this place so much.

Lovely home, lovely owners, highly recommend.

Location was perfect, so easy to get everywhere. Lovely little house, very clean, comfortable and had everything needed. The owners were a delight, so easy to communicate with and gave us great tips for days out - and they even left a bottle of wine for us! Very happy and would highly recommend!

Lovely stay

The place was really homely with everything you needed. It was great that the owners have the heating on a timer setting so you come back to a lovely warm house.

The extra flight of stairs was a killer after a day's walking 😆

Beautiful cottage with everything you could possibly need. Great location in a wonderful village with all amenities you need. Cottage was comfy, free parking right outside and the owners were so helpful before our visit. Great location for our walking holiday and will definitely be back.

An enclosed outdoor space would have been useful with our dog but not a problem for a short stay.

Small but perfectly formed

We loved the bottle of wine, lovely welcoming gift! The house is small but well formed & had everything we needed for the 2 of us for a week. Very clean, well equipt kitchen, comfy beds, modern bathroom & kitchen. The owners are very friendly, helpful & informative. The town has great pubs for food & drink, shops for groceries, cafe & take aways. Also the beautiful Cathedral

Stylish, pretty cottage. Very comfortable and clean with well-equiped kitchen and pleasant lounge. Lovely village with a range of places to eat, a supermarket, bakery and superb 2nd hand bookshop. Great walking from the village too and an excellent place to stay altogether.

Easy to contact owners and generous to a fault. I loved their cottage in Tideswell.

Perfect location in the Market Square.Tideswell is a lovely village and the location of cottage could not be better. Bakery home made pies and delicious pastries very helpful, they cooked a Steak and Ale pie for me for collection later.

I liked everything about the cottage. Beautiful presentation. Extremely comfortable beds. Plenty of towels. Beautifully warm and cosy. Everything was Immaculately clean and all the basic needs were supplied like Cleaning materials, toilet rolls, I’ve not stayed in another cottage so well equipped. Very easy access with key-safe into cottage. Tv..microwave good hob and oven. Large fridge and great to find a full size freezer. There are two bedrooms both with double beds so can accommodate 4 people. However it is a small cottage so is a perfect cottage for two. Front door enters into the Kitchen. There are stairs to access the sitting room and bathroom on first floor and stairs up to the two bedrooms. This layout suited me very well and caused no problems.
