Great location
Low beam into kitchen if you were stupid enough not to learn your lesson the first time you banged your head on it! But part of the charm of the cottage when you remembered.

good location if you have a car, with free on-street parking, located almost in middle of Buxton and Bakewell with easy and nice drive to both places. Both these places have markets to stock up, and eat out.
A beautiful cottage so all good.
Critique, only a few comments - Be mindful when getting in or out of the kitchen if you are tall as you would bang your head - painful! Also noted a few centipedes around this door area, and spiders - expected in this very green area with lot of vegetation, carrying an insect repellent is a good idea if you are visiting peak district.

It was very quaint and cute. Arrived at night and we found it easily enough. Very near the village pub, which we enjoyed food at a couple of times on our stay. Loved the log burner and having a roaring fire on the go one of the evenings when it was feeling a little chilly. It was perfectly located for the Peak District Ultra Challenge (the walk route went through Taddington and right past the cottage).
Just little things like no salt and pepper in the cottage. Banging our heads off the low doorways which we all did at least once. Quickly got used to bending over and negotiating the narrow stairs and low door frames,, no concussions were acquired as our survival muscle memory quickly kicked in after the first couple of encounters going in and out the kitchen. It was part of the experience overall though, and expected of a period cottage of its age.
