Location and everything worked

As everyone says, it’s not the cleanest but frankly it was very reasonably priced so no real complaints

Excellent location a five minute walk to pubs and village shops. Size of garden good but be careful with younger children as leads down to a mooring.The view from property is wonderful.There is clean bedding, lovely and warm with good control of temperature . Comfortable sofas but one needs cleaning . Plenty of hot water for a bath downstairs. Lots of towels if needed. There’s a washing machine. Kitchen equipment okay apart from dishwasher

The building looks in need of general tlc . Didn’t use upstairs as only two of us but the bathroom window has a gap and the wind whistles through. There was a large stain on sofa so needs cleaning. If eight people stay not enough seating (2 sofas) Dishwasher doesn’t work properly as doesn’t take tables so only water used. Fridge would be too small for more than four people. Mooring at the bottom of garden needs clearing.

Very close to Horning with good access to the riverside, lovely shops and pubs all in walking distance. Very spacious accommodation. It was a nice surprise to find milk in the fridge on arrival, and a box of cakes. The garden is a good size and, once the summer's duckweed has died off, I'm sure there will be some good fishing opportunities for future visitors.

The cottage feels neglected and would benefit from some serious TLC and renovation. Secondary Crittall glazing, no switches on the 'retro' electric sockets, and light switches all over the place that don't follow any logic. Very bland bedrooms with no welcoming features like a chair or a mirror. The curtains are starting to come away from the rails and look very untidy. Really soft unsupportive mattresses. The sofas have seen better days too - too low to sit on and not at all comfortable. Where problems have been fixed in the bathrooms, there was no attempt to make the repair fit in with the rest of the decor and it looks botched. The kitchen is reasonably well-equipped and has good food storage space, but I wish I'd taken scissors, a cheese grater and a pizza cutter.
