Kingfisher Lodge - 4 Bed Villa

Place well located and facilities were great

Unfortunately the hot tub (which was an additional cost) was incorrectly set upon arrival so was unable to use until the following day and host's not prepared to refund as would not accept responsibility which tarnished our otherwise good stau

Lovely property, comfortable and well equipped in a great location

Feel the garden let the property down, lots of weeds/dead plants, grass hadn’t been cut and some of the garden furniture needed replacing - one of the outdoor sofas

Huge amount of space, very comfortable beds and plenty of bathrooms/toilets. Great location with the main bars and restaurants in the little town just a walk through the park and down the stairs.

The extra costs that you don’t realise until you’ve already booked. Advised as having a hot tub but if you want to use it you have to pay, dog friendly but you have to pay and then a charge for insurance etc happy to pay for extra cleaning due to pets but quite put out at having to pay more when on booking.com site it says no additional payments on top but it’s written on the house rules part. Garden furniture lovely but basically the rest is left and strimmed clear.

House was spacious and clean, had most of everything you would need.lovely garden space.Nice games room,good bedrooms with plenty of storage space.

No heating when we arrived so was very cold after finding the instructions for heating in their on line manual we still had no joy,we were 5 middle aged women and didn't want to be playing around with heating, so we had to get hold of the host which took awhile, she then spoke us through how to turn the boiler on after accessing the key from a cupboard,something we felt we shouldn't have had to do. The hot tub which you had to pay an extra 75 pounds for,lovely on the first evening,second day only 2 jets working,on our 3rd day we consulted the on line manual again which didn't explain what to do if things went wrong only how to maintain the hot tub with chemicals,again we didn't want to be messing around with things.We tried to get in touch with the hosts through their different platforms which took for ever bearing in mind we had another quest joining us and we wanted to use the hot tub,eventually in the afternoon one of the cleaning team turned up to look at it she couldn't get it going and said a maintenance man would be out,he didn't turn up either,after consulting the host again on all platforms another cleaner turned up who did manage to get it going,not good enough though,we had paid for this service. The log burner never worked,the hosts gave you a few logs to get started with,but perhaps a little bit of kindling would have helped,we felt the logs weren't seasoned either. Workmen turned up at 8 every morning with their diggers right outside the property,barricades all up the road,might have been nice to be told about this. .
