Les Grands Cedres D3

Nous avons apprécié l'accueil de M. Arseni qui tient une petite échoppe près de la plage (vous pourrez acheter une bière fraîche ou de l'eau, ainsi que des articles divers et variés, du coton tige aux tongues) en allant vers la promenade des anglais juste avant d'arriver à la plage de galets. L'appartement est fonctionnel, au 3e avec ascenseur. Le parc et son bassin avec fontaine sont agréables. La plage à 200m ( 5 min pour y aller, un peu plus au retour, la rue est en pente, ça vous fera de l'exercice). La station de tram est à 150 m environ ainsi qu'une carrefour city, La pizzeria Bella Ciao à quelques minutes vous servira d'excellentes... pizzas!

Les canapés manquent un peu de confort ( même si nous y passions très peu de temps 😉) La vue n'est pas directe sur le parc mais reste agréable grâce à la végétation abondante. Il est très difficile de se garer dans le parking de la résidence (pour ceux que cela pourrait concerner) mais c'est un problème dans tout Nice. Petit conseil, si vous arrivez par avion, ne prenez pas le tram directement à l'aéroport (ticket = 10 eur) mais rendez vous à la prochaine station si vous n'êtes pas trop chargés, le ticket ne vous coûtera qu' 1,70

The location

Location was excellent as it was only a 7 minute walk to the seafront (Promenade) and nearest tram stop. The beds were comfortable. The property was reasonably priced especially for having 2 separate double bedrooms.

The cover picture of the exterior of the building is misleading, you are actually staying in the middle of a concrete jungle of apartments and not in the old fashioned, traditional French style building featured. The walls are paper thin and you hear EVERYTHING going on in neighbouring apartments. The sofas, which may look elegant and charming, are not comfortable and relaxing to sit in. Whilst adequately equipped with most things you need for a short stay, please consider buying a DECENT, serrated bread knife to cut your daily French bread with and more bin bags! Guests should be able to put heating on in the apartment especially later in the season. We were cold in the evenings. There were radiators in the apartment but they had some kind of thermostats attached to them and if they did work, we certainly weren’t shown how to work them.

Location was nice, close to the beach

Communication was not easy. The place could be cleaner, we find lots of pets hair. Cash deposit on the door.
