I did appreciate the peaceful location, charming restoration of a former fire station, and the beautiful furnishings. The owners are very kind and nice people. j'ai apprécié l'emplacement paisible, la restauration charmante de l'ancienne caserne de pompiers et l'aménagement magnifique. Rating: Poor I paid for a 9-night stay at Pumperhouse but ended up staying only for one night because the property did not meet my expectations and needs. It's important to note that the owners are nice people, and the external and internal appearance of the property is attractive. However, our decision to leave was based on several significant concerns that impacted our stay: 1. **Safety Concerns**: The property presented safety issues, including bedrooms without external windows and a narrow, impractical spiral staircase that raised genuine safety concerns. In the event of an emergency, we felt that our safety was compromised. 2. **Lack of Comfort**: Our stay was marked by discomfort due to the absence of basic amenities like proper bedroom ventilation and windows, making it difficult to sleep in the stifling heat. 3. I did not realise that all the bedrooms and toilets with the property are upstairs. The property's presentation did not align with the reality we encountered. For example, the photo of the hot tub in the garden led to initial confusion. 4. **Unsuitable Surroundings**: The sharp pebbles around the pool area, posed safety hazards for families with young children. 5. **Privacy Limitations**: It was not made clear during the booking process that the owners reside within the same house with locked connecting doors, limiting our privacy. While we rented a 6 bedroom house, we were allocated 4 bedrooms, one of which had a low down window, not safe in my opinion for a 4 or 6 year old, and we were not given access or sight of the other bedrooms. Additionally, please be careful at night of the dangerous step down between the bedroom without outside windows and the bathroom - you don't expect the drop in the middle of the night! I was cross that the managing agent Clés en Camargue tried to change my status to a 'no show' with a 100 percent cancellation fee, preventing me from leaving feedback on Booking.

La maison è incantevole, un'antica stazione di pompaggio sapientemente ristrutturata e immersa nella natura della Camargue. L'atmosfera è remota, tranquilla e incredibilmente romantica. Il silenzio è rotto solo dal vento e dai richiami degli uccelli. Il posto ideale per disconnettersi completamente. Nella maison si respira la storia del luogo, ma con un design contemporaneo, raffinato e artistico. I proprietari sono persone adorabili, disponibili e discrete. Hanno creato questo luogo con passione e si percepisce in ogni dettaglio. Sono sempre stati pronti a dare consigli preziosi su escursioni, ristoranti e angoli nascosti della regione da scoprire.

La sera meglio essere attrezzati per le zanzare, ma siamo in Camargue ...
