Solar Antigo Luxury Coimbra

The hotel is located 10 minutes from the city center in a rather ordinary-looking private building complex with multiple entrances. Each entrance leads to rooms spread across three floors; we were assigned a room on the top floor. There is no elevator, so hauling suitcases up was a bit of a struggle. Otherwise, however, the place is incredibly beautiful and luxurious. The room was exceptionally spacious and featured a Jacuzzi—perfect for relaxing after rushing around Coimbra’s endless hills and staircases. The receptionist welcomed us with champagne and cake and helped us find free parking. Breakfast is also served in the room; the spread was decent, consisting of eggs, cheese, bread, fruit, and yogurt. There is an excellent restaurant on the ground floor, though you need to book a table in advance. Отель располагается в 10 минутах от центра города в довольно обычном частном доме с кучей подъездов. Просторнейший номер с джакузи, в котором очень приятно расслабиться после беготни по бесконечным лестницам и холмам Коимбры. Девушка на ресепшен встретила нас шампанским и пирогом и помогла найти бесплатную парковку. Завтраки приносят тоже в номер. Завтрак неплохой: яичница, сыр, хлеб, фрукты, йогурт. Внизу есть отличный ресторан, места в который нужно заказывать заранее.

Ideal apartment to visit Coimbra, less than 10 minutes walk to the University and old town. With good restaurants nearby. Staff were exceptional.

We loved everything about the property from the moment we checked in. Katarina was so warm and welcoming. We had a room on the top floor that was spacious, beautifully appointed with amazing views. Great location with a short walk to the University.

Very “local feel” to the location and property.

No elevator. Advertised as a 4 star. Nice, but not a 4 star hotel. Met the standards for a three star. Four star rating was very misleading for the accommodations space and service level.
