Les Chambres de Martin

Very spacious and roomy for our family of 4. It was about a 10-15 min walk to the sites or train station so not bad for getting around.

It was a lot of stairs to get to the room- we were at the top and it was OK for the most part. Just hard when we had to carry our luggage up the 76 stairs and down when we left. But the room was great and I would go back

Great room in a great location in Sablon area of Brussels with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Second time staying here in this room (Luba) which faces the street - the noise is entirely passable and it's nice to be able to open the windows and have a view of the cathedral from the bed. Good wifi, comfy bed, Nespresso machine, good shower with nice bath products, fridge. Steep stairs leading up the top floor not an issue for me, but be aware if you have heavy luggage.

A firm checkin at 4pm is a bit late and there seemed to be no flexibility at all. Luggage can be stored at the restaurant, but it didn't seem secure as it's put in the main hallway leading up the rooms.

Location and spaciousness. Overall enjoyable stay

No hot water in sink but was available for shower. Tea was not available but asked and they tried to supply.

The room was lovely with all the amenities that we needed, like plenty of towels and toiletries, complimentary water and coffee, Wi-Fi, storage for clothing and in a good location in the Sablon district in Brussels within easy walking distance to the Central train station.

When we arrived around 5:30 the door to the property wasn’t accessible because the hotel is located above a cafe and there were patrons sitting on tables in front of the entry so we had to enter through the cafe dragging our luggage. It’s also very noisy at night because there’s no AC so you must keep the windows open and noise from the cafe and street below was ever present and quite loud. A fan would help to move air and muffle noise a bit. In the showers there was no shelf to place your shampoo, soap, etc, you had to keep it on the floor. Maybe a hanging shelf over the shower could help. We stayed on the third floor and there was an apartment or perhaps more rooms above us and whoever was staying there seemed to be intentionally stomping their feet - this happened on both nights of our stay. Thankfully it only lasted about 5 minutes or so. A few hooks to hang wet towels would also be helpful. We had to hang them over furniture which I don’t like to do.
