Bedbugs :(

The room were fine; I think the place and location are comfortable.

*Bedbugs* I'm giving them one star because we arrived at the airport with bedbugs in the jackets we hung up. This is a problem for me, and for the return to my home, and the implications I now have for my belongings. And if you are aware of this, please address the situation to prevent it from spreading.

Lovely set up but attention to facilities is lacking.

Location and set up was wonderful.

The bed was broken and verity dangerous. My husband nearly fell through it when he sat down and then cut his leg on one of the slats poking out below the mattress where it was broken.

No hot water, very steep stairs

Proximity to Brussels centre & the street itself was extremely characterful with many bars, shops, cafes & markets in immediate reach, including the owners shop downstairs which served delicious fresh home baked breads & sandwiches with plenty veggie & vegan options. We said we were staying upstairs, but this was met with indifference & blank stares & certainly no discount for residency, which is usual. Walking into the centre was only 10 minutes or so, with dawdling.

No hot water, despite the fact I believe we were first up in the morning & it was so cold outside, so not a good start. And hubby had to fix the slats on the bed before it could be used!

Avoid avoid avoid

Both showers were broken, and hot water was not working. There was a leak into the stairs, and dodgy wiring. A nail sticking out of the stairs cut my foot open, and the place - especially the bathrooms were filthy.

Eccentric and minimalist, but not in a good way.

The location was excellent, as was the Iranian restaurant on the ground floor, run by the owner of the accommodation.

The accommodation was more than a little eccentric, consisting of rooms all of which were on different levels, often connected by vertiginous and narrow staircases. The style was 1970s student lodgings which had seen better days. The conversion into apartments was of very poor quality. The single shared bathroom, at the bottom of the multi-level apartment, had definitely seen better days, and was a long way from my room. The shower did not work properly and the doors did not close properly; the supply of hot water was as eccentric as the rest of the apartment. The small rug on the floor of the kitchen/dining room was a lethal trip hazard, and ceiling lights flickered nervously at all times.

There's a bedbug infestation in Room 2; we both arrived here very tired, so we probably only noticed it after two nights of sleep, with the bites. Really dissatisfied

The stairs into the building are really steep and narrow which make it difficult to bring luggage in. The floors are really creaky so you can hear everyone’s movements above you. The bed and pillows are uncomfortable. Provided with a fan to help with the hot room however it did not work. Also left at 5am in the morning (after basically no sleep because of how uncomfortable the bedding and pillow was) due to waking up itchy and covered in bites from bed bugs. Also the host has been uncontactable and hasn’t replied to my messages regarding the bed bugs and compensation.

Amazing location and very unique

Perfect location and very unique place. Rooms were spacious and it is very easy to get to the city centre. The host was very helpful and friendly. Had everything I needed :)

Stayed on the top floor and bathroom was on the bottom floor so was a bit of a hassle at times. Also carrying bags up to the top floor was a bit tough. Otherwise had a great stay!

A great location shame about the cleanliness ie bed bugs.

The location was perfect & easy to find.

I didn’t like the bed bugs, i was bitten all over the first night, i still have itchy lumps on my arms, lower back & legs, resulting in none or little sleep for two nights. I got some cream from the pharmacy to help ease my discomfort.

A nice spot in a basic, comfortable and stylish room.

Location was great, right near a strip of restaurants and a short walk from most attractions. Note you will be carrying your bag up a flight of stairs, pretty standard but just an FYI anyone with mobility issues.

Om de hoek zit een hotel. Die is een 10tje duurder per nacht. Is het echt waard. Slaap daar alsjeblieft. De straat is wel leuk. Zitten leuke kroegjes en restaurantjes. En een goede plek waar je leuk kan ontbijten op steenworp afstand. Het is voor mensen die slecht te been zijn of wat voller onmogelijk om hier te bewegen. Smalle en stijle trappen. Bedden zijn oncomfortabel omdat je op pallets ligt.

Het is totaal niet schoon. Overal haren en het gebouw valt bijna uit elkaar. Ook sporen van ongedierte, schimmel en slechte hygiëne. de gastheer/vrouw. Is niet te bereiken bij calamiteiten. Totaal niet booking.com waardig.

Très bon emplacement

L'emplacement est parfait on peut tout faire à pied depuis l'appart et la rue elle-même avec ses commerces cafés restos est très agréable. La maison est joliment décorée propre et confortable. L'hôte nous a envoyé toutes les infos et des conseils de restos, très sympa.

Il faut juste prendre en compte que la maison est une vieille construction typique, pas large mais toute en hauteur, donc il faut grimper des escaliers un peu raides, et l'isolation n'est pas au top on s'est fait réveiller par les autres voyageurs. C'est le seul point négatif que je lui trouve.

Al poco de echarnos a dormir la primera noche comenzamos a sentir picores por todo el cuerpo. La habitación estaba llena de chinches e insectos que no nos dejaron dormir. Nos tuvimos que marchar a las 2 de la mañana de ahí y buscar otro alojamiento porque era imposible pasar ahí la noche. Teniendo esto en cuenta me cuesta valorar otros aspectos del alojamiento y, además, solo se nos ha devuelto la mitad de lo que hemos pagado cuando no hemos pasado ni una noche allí.

Il materasso era scomodo per la mia schiena, molto molle e purtroppo mi ha causato dolori. Il bagno era condiviso con un' altra camera. Il wifi purtroppo non funzionava.

Estuvimos en este sitio y fue una experiencia repugnante. El lugar estaba lleno de chinches, pero de una manera extrema, tanto que me picaron y me causaron una reacción alérgica tremenda. Las sábanas estaban visiblemente sucias, el ambiente en general muy descuidado y el baño tenía moho por todos lados. Era tan desagradable que tuvimos que irnos a mitad de la noche y buscar otro hotel simplemente porque no aguantamos la cochinada extrema. Para empeorar todo, nunca obtuvimos respuesta del personal ante lo ocurrido. no se disculparon, no ofrecieron solución, ni siquiera los vimos. Una falta de respeto. No lo recomiendo en absoluto. Huyan de este lugar. Es insalubre, descuidado y no vale ni un euro.

Esta en el centro y se puede ir caminando a todos lados.

La casa es todo de material reciclado no es una cama son palet y encima el colchón habitación suicia con arañas y creo que chinches también amanecimos con picaduras por todo el cuerpo. La casa es vieja pero si se limpiaria sería genial no habría ni 🕷 ni chinches yo creo que son chinches por las picaduras del cuerpo de mi hijo no les recomiendo. Haber si puedo poner foto de las picaduras del cuerpo. Yo pienso que deberían tirar esos palet que hace de cama y comprar una cama por que debajo de la cama nunca limpia por lo pesado que serán los palet para mover y cuanta gente que pasa por ahí la habitación estaba sucia polvo y pelos por el suelo.
