Great location and breakfast

Great location, only 5-10 minutes walk from the old town from Grand place. Breakfast was included and has great options, cereals, tea and coffee, fruits and vagetables, cheeses and hams, butter, chocolate cream etc... There are lockers in the room, you just need a 1 euro coin to insert which you get back when you leave. Quiet and very warm. There's also a sink in the room to wash up.

Only thing missing was a trash bin in the room. Alwsyd had to keep the trash and throw it outside the room in a bin.

Good for one night

Location is good, room was really warm , check in convenient. We had private room with shower. Breakfast was okay

WiFi wasn’t working, absolutely not soundproof , we could hear everything. Some high guy was talking something on French to my boyfriend. Not for sensitive sleepers

The hostel has an excellent location and the staff is really helpful

The bed was very uncomfortable and we had bugs in our beds, after addressing this with the staff they act immediately changing the bed sheets, though the duvet seems still not great and smelly, so we didn't use it on the second night.

Quite, cozy and safe place to stay in Brussels

Great location: you can reach nearly all main points (Manneken Pis, Grand Place, Royal Gallery of Saint Hubert, Mont des Arts) by walk. Also railway station Brussels Midi is in 20 minutes max by walk. Realy clean rooms and common areas. Breakfast is included in the price and contain everything that you need: cereals with milk of choice, fresh fruits and vegetables, some cheeses and ham for sandwiches, jams and crunchy butters, soft beverages and coffee, yogurts. Vegetarian and halal options are also included in the menu. Comfortable beds. Be aware that you need to make sheets by yourself and bring them downstairs when check out. Lockers can be closed with 1 euro coin deposit (which you can take right after you open them), just be aware to have some coins in this case. Huge common areas on the ground floor to relax or work and also smaller ones on each floors. Very friendly receptionists and kitchen staff that will help you in case of any questions. I’m very satisfied with the stay and definitely will choose this hostel for the future.

The lack of shelves in the common showers made the process a little bit difficult.

Decent value hostel

The hostel is in a quiet area and equidistant between Brussels Midi and Brussels Central train stations. The dorm room had its own shower which was helpful and very large lockable cupboard for your bag (though it requires a refundable 1euro coin to use). Each sleeping area has its own light and plug socket. The price was decent enough and it included a basic breakfast (continental style), so it was good value overall. The staff were friendly and there's free water bottle refill dispenser and free locked luggage storage room if you need to leave your bags. I would stay here again but it is on the more basic side.

The bunk beds are pretty basic with no curtains for additional privacy, other than that, you're getting good value but there's no frills. Feels a little like school dorms (and you have to make your own bed and bring your own towel - or rent one). If you're just passing through for a night or two, it does the job well enough and at a good price.

The staff were really friendly and great, and the location is fantastic. The room was quite comfortable and there were common areas where we could use our computers that were nice to have as well.

You wouldn’t want to stay longer than a day

- Good location - Breakfast included (basic but still a good addition) - common area with books

- Showers only last 1 second & aren’t adjustable (that’s the worst part!! Staying there for longer than a day you need to be able to shower comfortably) - mold in the showers too - Bunk beds not connected to the wall(could tip over easily!!), mattresses super thin and very uncomfortable, linen does not cover the actual blanket which makes it very unhygienic - door look does not close on its own - Walls very thin (you can hear everybody from outside and the other rooms) - Very old furniture

Exceeds expecations

The name says hostel but it has so many facilities which we didn't think of. We loved the break out area of the hostel, outdoor siting option, location and rooms. It was quite spacious wrt to the hostel I have stayed before.

The mattresses were not comfortable. It could be improved. Also, if the kitchen include a heating cattle and a little possibility to cook small meals then it will be a big plus.

Great location, within 10 mins walking distance from Central station, breakfast buffet also had a lot of varieties, nice staff behavior, even allowed us for an early check-in

Everything was great apart from just one issue, the shower in the private bathroom wasn't functioning properly as the shower-head was missing

The most horrible hostel experience.

NOTHING

The room given to me and my friend had a massive flooring material like big tiles and a big box of paint on the tiles right in the middle of the room. The bathroom didn’t have a big tile, some horrible fluid on the floor and a fan on the floor to try it. The mattress and blanket had thousands of pollen the moment we went to sleep. A lot of hair under the bed. The sheets and mattress had stains. For all safety and hygiene reasons I would never go back to this property or any associated ones nor recommend to any friend.

The location was great. The rooms were clean and beds were fine. There isn’t anything I can think of we wasn’t happy with. Definitely value for money and when we go back to Brussels we know where we are staying that’s for sure.

A great example of a HI hostel, very high standard

As a HI hostel you know it’s going to be good, and it didn’t disappoint. Everything is the way it should be for a traveling backpacker. Lots of chill out areas, lots of bathrooms & toilets. The breakfast as outstanding for a hostel. Fruit salad, yogurt, bread, cheese, meat & more. Amazing!!

It's nice place to stay for people who look for a clean and quiet place but not for party goers.

It was a nice place to stay with friendly and professional staff. It was well kept in very clean and hygienic condition. Wifi was perfect, A packed breakfast was provided as checked out early.

Directions from Brussels midi/zidi could have been made better. Self-catering kitchen was unavailable.

Standard hostel for its price

It is located just beside Église Notre-Dame de la Chapelle and halfway between major attractions. Although Google map says it's a 10 minute walk to Grand Palace, it's uphill. So it is best reached by the city bus, which stops less than half a block away. I am so glad that the staff allowed us to wait for our 12 midnight bus at their lounge because the Flixbus station is out in the cold open air! We loved Brussels and we made so many memories in our short stay here.

The lights in the shower auto turns off. you have to activate it by stepping out of the shower and into the toilet area. Eco-saving but then becomes impractical for use.

A bit expensive for the hostel experience but all in all it was worth it.

Location is very very good. Windows are very good and they don't let the noise from the street to pass through. Staff is super nice.

We had to ask for new sheets as one of them was a tad dirty. Breakfast was ok-ish although I'll never drink that coffee again.
