Beautiful old Portuguese Townhouse, brought alive with a modern charm. We stayed on the first floor and had these beautiful floor-level windows. Raquel is a great host with an eye for aesthetics and details.

The apartment is in an area about 15 minutes walk from the river and metro. It was generally quiet at night and close to local restaurants, bars and a supermarket. There is a good, cheap cafe bakery a few metres away. We were met by the host who allowed us to store our bags prior to check in. He helped us carry our heavy suitcase and gave us a useful talk about what to see in Porto and places we might not have thought of going
Although the apartment is very stylish, we found the bed and the sofa both very uncomfortable. The sofa in particular caused us problems as it is extremely low so very difficult to use by older people like ourselves! Be aware that if you book one of the two top floor flats, there are 60 steps to climb. We would also have appreciated having more storage space for clothes
