The open space, garden, and the wonderful staff. The cats and dogs were great too.

Breakfast options are limited. Staff are not present 24/7, but the staff are quite accommodating.

Shanti Ghar is a lovely, secluded and full of nature place. It was quiet and peaceful and we loved being in our own chalet. It felt very homey and welcoming, plus the cats and dogs made it even better. The owners, Zack, and Pascale were all really friendly and gave us good recommendations of what to do and places to eat.

I like such authentic villas. Looked nice. The stuff organised taxi for excursion early in the morning and waited for our late check out. Offered anti-mosquito spray, there are a lot of them in the mountains.

But all the first good expression disappeared in the morning. We were staying for just one night. Decided to return to Tamarin because my daughter wanted to swim with wales, some early morning excursion. We asked for an early breakfast for her in 5-30, they promised “some bread” but did nothing. But when I arrived on breakfast I was surprised. I have traveled a lot all over the world, my daughter is a travel blogger also. This breakfast was the poorest I have ever seen. I thought it was some joke. Only omlete and one cheese and papaya for all the guests. For 144 euros for b&b in the middle of nowhere when It’s not possible to eat nearby. Coffee was disappointing, and on Mauritius it’s good everywhere. I have stayed a lot in similar guesthouses and was expecting rich local fresh farmer food or smth like this. It seemed as owners are very mingy and are trying to give for minimum, taking from the tourists for maximum. And as they are economising on everything I think the water that they delivered to the room and on breakfast wasn’t from bottle. Anyway only in this hotel after a week of trip I’ve got stomach problems. Not worth this price. Needs a normal breakfast or much cheaper rate. We rented before much better airbnb in Tamarin for 110 euros with a good private beach in luxurious Esplanade complex. And it was without breakfast but owners left much more than here were it’s B&B and it had direct access to a beach and stylish pool. Beach. From Shanti Ghar you are going to a public one that looks really not good, we didn’t swim there. By steps it took us 30 minutes.
