I honestly struggled to understand how this hotel qualifies as a 5-star property based on our experience. The biggest disappointment was the service. For a hotel positioned as luxury, the level of attention to detail was surprisingly poor. Housekeeping came in every day, yet basic amenities such as shower gel were not replenished. When it was eventually refilled, the quality was so poor that it genuinely felt more like diluted dishwashing liquid than shower gel. Not exactly what you expect when paying for a 5-star stay. The room also had a fan that made an incredibly loud and irritating noise. It was difficult to ignore, and for a supposedly luxury property, I would have expected something as basic as this to be identified and fixed before the room was given to guests. What makes this more disappointing is that these are not unreasonable expectations — they are basic standards you would expect from a 5-star hotel. The property may be beautiful and have the appearance of a luxury resort, but luxury is not just about the aesthetics. It is about service, comfort, attention to detail and making guests feel looked after. Unfortunately, that was missing during our stay. For the price and the 5-star label, I expected significantly better. Sadly, this was one of those stays where the rating on the door did not match the experience.
