Carabeo 2000 2.3

It was in a lovely position and close to many lovely restaurants , The Balcon and shops.

The swimming pool on the roof needs repairing. There are a lot of missing floor tiles and therefore was dangerous to walk on so we were unable to use it.

The location was good, 10 minute walk to the centre of Nerja and 6 min walk to the beach. Mimi the hostess was extremely helpful and answered any queries in a very timely manner. Apartment had everything.

The pool, there were some loose tiles in the pool.

The apartment was clean, well equipped with a big terrace. It was 10 mins walk from the Balcon de Europa and 5 mins walk to Carabeo beach, which is a nice small beach but without sunbeds and shades. Distance sea views.

The bedclothes and towels although clean were very old. The terrace furniture is old and rickety. The kitchen although well equipped had an exposed area where extra household cleaning equipment and a ladder were stored and although we had no children with us we felt it was dangerous and should be in an enclosed locked storage press. The apartment was also beside a public recreation area. So for the last 4 days of our holiday and we were only there for a week, a FunFair was being set up and the drilling and noise involved with the setting up of the FunFair meant we had to stay out of the apartment a lot during the day.

Great location (apart from being next to a car park), close to shops and bars, great service prior to checkin and we were met at the property by a lovely lady. A couple of beers in the fridge and the bottle of water was a really nice touch.

The property was very tired looking, nothing like the photo’s and the view over the car park was very disappointing.
