Stunning vistas, spacious villas, total serenity.

Our 3 night stay at Samsara was up there with my best-ever hotel experiences. Everything about this resort is truly exceptional, and make it a perfect luxury retreat surrounded by nature. When I booked it, I wondered if the website photos were too good to be true, but the villas and surrounds really are that stunning. I'd also been worried that my 8 year old and 11 year old might get bored, but they loved having so much space to themselves and spent hours in both the private pool and resort pool.

During a heavy downpour, there was briefly a rainfall drainage issue outside our room, but staff quickly fixed it.

The location is breathtaking, surrounded by lush greenery and absolute tranquillity. The hotel design is stunning – every corner feels thoughtfully crafted, blending luxury with the natural beauty of Ubud. But the real icing on the cake was the outstanding service from the staff. They went above and beyond in every possible way, anticipating our needs before we even asked and making us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Their warm smiles, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made our stay unforgettable. If you're looking for a perfect blend of serenity, luxury, and world-class service, Samsara Ubud is a must-stay. We can’t recommend it highly enough and can’t wait to return!

Beautiful forest, pleasant and serene.

We had such a peaceful and enjoyable stay at Samsara Ubud. From the moment we arrived in the evening, Wira and Kevin made us feel really welcome and at ease. We asked for a special request and they delivered it! We appreciate it so much. Even during breakfast, the staff checked in on us to make sure our room was ready for clean up, which was very thoughtful. The room service team was lovely too, always friendly and happy to help. Really pleasant people. Breakfast was a treat actually. Since it’s à la carte, it was easy to choose exactly what we wanted, and the mix of Balinese and Western dishes meant there was something for whatever mood we were in. And it was not limited too so we got a bit greedy 😆 Everything made by the chefs were delicious and carefully prepared though and the staff made the experience effortless. A standout for us was the finnish sauna and ice bath. It felt completely private and serene, a perfect spot to unwind. Especially in the rain. With only 17 villas on the property, it never felt crowded, making it ideal for a quiet couples’ getaway. We also enjoyed the lounge area for relaxing and to work in. And the owner’s art collection and their painting classes added a charm to the resort too. Overall, our stay was really chill, comfortable, and full of little thoughtful touches that made it feel special. Samsara Ubud is the kind of place where you can just relax and enjoy the peaceful vibes of Ubud 🫶🏼

The only downside is that the villa is tucked into a forest so food deliveries can be a bit tricky. It’s better to drive out to nearby restaurants or use room service. We were also sick halfway through our stay so we couldn’t do much but stay in.

An unforgettable honeymoon stay at Samsara Ubud!

Our time at Samsara Ubud was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, a huge thank you to Tari and Arya for their genuine kindness and wonderful hospitality. They truly made our stay extra special! The villa was beautiful, clean, and peaceful surrounded by nature with such a calming atmosphere. Everything from the pool to the little details in the room was perfect. The food was delicious too, especially the breakfast with those stunning jungle views! The whole experience was pure relaxation. We left feeling refreshed, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend Samsara Ubud to anyone looking for a luxurious and serene escape in Bali.

If you want to stay in jungle far from everything this is a great choice.

The property is located at a remote location within lush vegetation. Beautiful view from the pool of the villa. The staff was really good and also the food.

OK, it is too far from everything. It takes 40 minutes by taxi to go to Ubud, or 30 minutes to Masson Adventure Park. Our vill was at the bottom level and it is quite steep to reach the restaurant or the lobby. The weakest aspect of this property is maintenance. Everything needs freshening up.

This was our first time staying at the hotel and our third visit to Bali. We had an amazing experience from start to finish. The hotel is beautiful and peaceful, and the rooms were very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. We especially enjoyed the pool and the stunning views, which made our stay even more special. We can’t wait to come back on our next trip to Bali!

Lush and quiet paradise to relax and recharge

A true oasis of peace, outside of the Ubud chaos. Takes a bit to get there (expect 30-45mins from central Ubud depending on traffic), but extremely worthy. Breakfast options (a-la-carte) were of great quality.

Dinner options and quality could see some improvements/refreshes.

Magical Jungle Retreat

The staff were so welcoming and assisted us with anything we asked for. The really went the extra mile to make sure we had a wonderful stay. The villa with pool was so private and comfortable. A little oasis in the jungle! Sublime!

The breakfast offering was nice but I feel like needed a little work in terms of the execution. However it was still enjoyable the whole.

A Magical Stay at Samsara Ubud

Our experience at Samsara Ubud was nothing short of exceptional. A heartfelt thank you to Musgi and Lia, who went above and beyond to assist us with every activity and request during our stay. Their kindness and attention made all the difference — especially when I was feeling under the weather with a bit of “Bali belly.” They truly pampered me with their special tea and an almost surreal amount of bottled water delivered to our room! The morning yoga sessions are a must — calming and beautifully led — and the rice field walk is a peaceful way to connect with the surroundings. Our villa was incredibly spacious, impeccably clean, and meticulously maintained. Having visited Ubud before, I can say that the level of care and attention to detail at Samsara is truly unmatched. If you’re looking for a serene, luxurious, and thoughtful stay in Ubud, this is the place. Highly recommended!

If I had to suggest just a couple of small improvements: a room fragrance diffuser would be a lovely addition, as the scent of the cleaning detergent can be a bit strong at times. Also, there’s some room to enhance the dining experience, though overall everything was more than satisfactory.

Great jungle escape.

Me and my friends loved Samsara. We had a lovely 2 bed villa in the jungle. It was spacious and clean. The facilities including the spa were great as well. I enjoyed the breakfast every morning (shout out to Arya for always being so nice and happy). The staff (so many to name) were the amazing. Everyone was super nice at reception, breakfast etc. Especially when I was scared of tiny lizards, they happily came and gave me peace of mind. And when they got us breakfast boxes before our early excursions. The fries and spaghetti was sooo good, I was surprised. The best best part was their sambal. The staff always gave us lots as we requested and the chef even gave us the recipe when we asked. We will make it and try to remember Samsara. My friend was given a luggage tag which was sweet. I wish I had gotten one too to remember you guys.

It was far from town and we spent a lot of money going back and forth a few times every day. While I appreciated being out of the hustle and bustle, the trek back to the hotel in the dark was not ideal. This place is best for those that don't leave the hotel often. We went on the village walk which was so nice and learned about the area. Wish we had time to try yoga and other activities. I woke up one day in the middle of the night and mustered the courage to go out and the night was clear for a bit and the stars above me were stunning. Highly recommend star gazing if you aren't scared of bugs and lizards. I also wish I knew the infrared sauna was no free as I used it without knowing there would be a free. We had a visitor late one night. We don't know what it was but it scared us and the noise woke up. Security and reception came to investigate and heard the noise but never found what it was. I wish we were offered something for our inconvenience and late night scare.

Throughout our time at Samsara, the reception team — Luhde, Wira, and Arya — were consistently outstanding. They were always ready to assist with a smile, offering thoughtful recommendations, seamless service, and making us feel like valued guests at every moment. A huge shout-out also to the restaurant team — Amel, Sintia, and Adit — who elevated our dining experiences. Every meal was accompanied by impeccable service, heartfelt hospitality, and warm conversations that made each visit feel personal and special. They truly went above and beyond to ensure we were always comfortable and happy. The attention to detail, the care, and the incredible team spirit of the staff made our stay at Samsara Ubud truly unforgettable. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in Bali. They completely spoil you from the moment you check in. Great breakfast spread too. Shout out to Barry who assisted with the check in, Budi who conducted the art class and Restu who conducted the coffee making class.

Very peaceful, the villa was large and spacious, well equipped,plunge pool was really cool and we had the floating breakfast which was a 1st.. beds are so comfy best we have had in Bali so far .. food is excellent and not overly priced and the restaurant is very nice .. the staff here really make a difference very nice people ..

Everything at Samsara was perfect! The staff, facilities and villa where all fantastic. For me, I love my food and could not fault them in that department as everything was delicious from breakfast to dinner! Also loved all the activities they provided at no extra charge. We did the village walk, painting class and big screen movie night (popcorn provided) and thought they were all great.

Only minor.... We had a few dramas with the tv for the first couple of days before it could be fixed properly. Also, the main pool only has limited pool lounges, so on a nice day it was hard to get a space there unless you were early.

Beautiful! We will definitely be back!

Amazing location in the rainforest. Villas are very private and the pool overooking the rainforest was beautiful. Staff were incredible, so helpful and friendly. Food up at the restaurant was delicious and we were lucky to attend the BBQ and traditional music and dance night which was awesome. It is located about 25 minutes out of Ubud so challenging to use Gojek as not many drivers around but they do have a shuttle that runs twice a day into Ubud.
