Shiva Ganges View Guest House

Lovely hotel on edge of Ganges and in the heart of the old city. Good, although simple breakfast. Polite and helpful staff. Comfortable bed and clean room.

We were in a superior king which was on the ground floor and opened onto reception , foyer and dining area which wasn’t ideal - very noisy. Request upstairs room rather, although when we did they wanted to charge us double for the same superior room upstairs.

Great location. Beautiful ganges view. Very kind staff and local vibe. Fits perfectly in the varanasi experience.

This hotel is exceptional with it being right on the Ghat to experience the whole Varanasi vibe.Everything ran from the Ganga and I can't say enough about Varanasi.I recommend the Shiva Ganges View highly and the staff would bend over backwards to accommodate your every need.A fantastic hotel in the center of the action ☺️

Spacious room Next to Mansarovar ghat Ganges view from balcony Staff are cordial

Way too expensive and not value for money ( paid Rs 15k for two nights), rip off for what is available in return: Toilet is too small, wet area doesn’t dry fast has to be mopped, WC in small area means cannot sit straight, old door (rusty) Steep stairs, room was on level 2, no lift, walk up/ down in conjunction with walking 15min to nearest main street is inconvenient. Dine in menu not always available, ordered mini thali and got told this is only available at higher volume orders not just one, and i travelled alone. Access to hotel from main street drop off is 15 min, narrow lanes, smelly, dirty , creates unpleasant experience. Cash only payment for any taxi organised by hotel and any food purchased in the hotel. No security/safe box to keep valuables. Dinner ordered fried rice was not nice, felt like vomitting
