As a couple in our 70's who had travelled for 3 months throughout Germany we were looking forward to our 11day booking in what we believed would be a cute and neat cottage as per the photos on Bookings.com. However: 1.We choose this property because of the photos depicting a beautifully cute Gengenbach cottage. The arrival was shattering when we had to enter through a delipated garage doorway which turned out to be the main entry-way to the property. Untidy and in need of a good and thorough clean-up. And we wondered where the pretty cottage was. 2.The main photo in Bookings.com depicts a neat, tidy and cute patio but what we got was an untidy, dirty and un-kept area. (Which is actually the back of the house and not the front as one would have assumed by the advertised photos). 3. The shock continued when we entered the cottage and saw instructions written in felt pen on kitchen cupboards and the bathroom wall. (Very unprofessional...we are experienced travellers over many years and have never seen such an amateurish attempt relating instructions.) 4. The main bedroom had no block- out curtains nor blinds just a thin cotton-like fabric on the windows. Felt very uncomfortable particularly when the sensor light kept flashing on and off all night and lit up the bedroom. 5. Promised use of a washing machine ( as per owners email) but upon subsequent enquiry was told to ring Anya. ( never answered our calls). 6. We were issued with one towel each...a change of towels arrived on day 8. 7. 2 toilet rolls supplied for the 11 days ( the advert clearly states that all toiletries were to be supplied). We just don't understand that nobody helped us or checked on our needs like other hosts/owners have done. Because of all these problems we decided to leave a day early than our booking.

Die Lage ist hervorragend und die Gastgeber per Handy sehr gut erreichbar für Nachfragen
Der Thermostat der Heizung war zu kalt eingestellt und schwierig zu entdecken- im Schlafzimmer hinter einem Bild - sonst alles ok und nett eingerichtet

Eine Unterkunft zum Wohlfühlen
Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt im Atelierhaus. Die Lage ist einmalig schön, ein wunderschöner Park mit Flüsschen, Weinberge, Kloster, Ort waren fußläufig in wenigen Minuten erreichbar, trotzdem war es angenehm ruhig. Die Einrichtung ist hochwertig und gemütlich, Terrasse und Garten wunderschön Die Gastgeber sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder ins Atelierhaus
