Nice studio and good communication

At home in lyon (2.7 km/38 min. walk east of Place Bellecour) is located near Lyon Part Dieu train station. The advantage was that it was only a few minutes from the terminal tram stop between the airport and the city center. We stayed in the Studio Côté Saône with a double bed, kitchenette, private bathroom with shower, balcony and view of the main street. The kitchenette had a kettle and capsule coffee machine, as well as a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and iron with ironing board. The owner left us 2 capsules by the coffee machine so we could make coffee. Free toiletries were available in the bathroom. Free Wi-Fi was available throughout the studio. I communicated with Claude, the owner of the accommodation, via WhatsApp from the beginning. The owner texted us every day to make sure everything was in order. Before we checked in, he sent us information on how to get to the accommodation from the train station, codes for accessing the building and studio, and the Wi-Fi password. We were surprised by the request to take out the trash.

We could have covered the large windows facing the street with electric blinds. These dampened the sounds from the night street, but they did not prevent the heat from escaping from the apartment and the smoke from outside. We found it out when we suddenly smelled an unpleasant cigarette smell in the apartment from outside.

Well located, compact, clean and comfortable appartment

Great location if you arrive by train as it is opposite Lyon Part Dieu station. It is also at the centre of the transport hub for the city. So a really good location for getting around the sights. The flat was compact but very clean and well designed. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The instructions from Claude, our host, were excellent and very detailed. We would use this flat again

Nothing in particular other than a bedside light would be useful. I had to get out of bed to turn the light off. Claude had warned us in advance that a shower door was missing and he was waiting for a replacement. It was a little inconvenient but did not make a difference to our enjoyment of our stay.

An extremely cosy space, even though there is not much space (no pun intended!). Loved how everything is so thought-out.

Trams are starting to go from the early morning till midnight. Just be aware of that!

Very clean, easy to find and get in. Central location just near the train station.

In the building there is a pump or compressor that activates every 20 minutes or so for a few seconds and generates a vibrating noise.

A perfect studio located close to Lyon Part-Dieu Train Station with a great host.

A perfectly located fully equipped modern studio with a nice balcony. So easy to get to from the airport via Rhone Express because the stop is right nearby. The train station and metro are right across the street. Claude recommended a couple of restaurants and we enjoyed them both!

We enjoyed our stay in Lyon having good accommodation makes all the difference.

The apartment was in a perfect location ,very quiet at night ,slept very well ,it had air condition ,kitchen was well equipped ,spotlessly clean ,perfect for a couple .The host was always available and gave great directions on how to get to the apartment and getting into the apartment.

Pleasant, if a little uncomfortable.

Location would normally be excellent but tram line engineering work makes it very awkward to travel without having to catch buses to other tram stops (includes to and from the airport). Not the fault of the property. Everything has been thought of, iron, hairdryer, small kitchen with microwave, oven, fridge etc. The bed was very comfortable. The check in was great and the owner very nice and helpful.

If you are above 6 foot tall, or overweight, you will find the property very difficult to manoeuvre in, particularly the bathroom. The owner has done a great job of utilising the space but you can only work with what you’ve got, and even for a studio it’s a small area. Walls very thin so can hear adjoining studios.

Studio by Lyon Part-Dieu station

We are not very tall and the bed was difficult to climb into. Could not reach a glass of water placed on the floor. It was in a small space so access on one side was not easy. No side tables. No bedside lights. Otherwise studio was well lit, well equipped, very clean. We were pleased to find some washing up liquid and cleaning spray. Perfectly placed for the station if not for sight-seeing. The building was modern and well-kept. Entry entirely by codes meant no keys to lose. Claude kept in touch which was kind should there have been problems. He gave good instructions for access etc.

Great location, great host.

It's super close to the train station and very easy to find. The host provided the check-in info a couple days ahead of my arrival. He checked in with me everyday to make sure that everything is fine. The room is small but well equipped and sufficient for 1 person. Will stay again if I come back to Lyon.

Its location to the station and the cleanliness of the apartments. There were no keys just codes so no chance of losing them . The host Claude was very attentive and accommodated our needs . We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and stay again in the future

A pleasant and comfortable stay.

Excellent location for trains, trams and large shopping Mall. Well equipped apartment with a pleasant balcony. Good soundproofing overlooking tramlines. Small but well designed to make it feel larger (dropdown bed/sofa).

It is a long walk (40 minutes to the centre of town) although an interesting walk. Not much of a view other than hotels bedrooms across the road.

Excellent location, clean studio

The place was located only 3 mins walk from Lyon Part Dieu (train station). Very detailed instructions were provided prior to my arrival. This was important as there was no reception staff and there were three codes for entry. I could contact the owner directly. The studio was compact but provided everything I needed for my stay.

The bathroom was really tiny and I was always mindful every time I entered the bathroom. There was hardly any space to move.

Great location, best owner

Great location, just in front of tram and rhoneexpress station. The room was enough for two people. Comfartable bed. The kitchen has everything (from supplies to the dish washer). The owner, Claude was wonderful, he was accessable any time and so helpfull. He gave us directions and door passwords the day before, he also recommended so many great restaurants in the city. He left coffee, tea and water for the first day.

The shower was so tiny, our height and weight are above average, so it was little difficult for us, but it can not be changed, that is the how the apartment was built. Also there is only air conditioning for heating, it was okey for us because the city was not too cold but for colder weather it can be a problem, i am not sure.

Great for the money and a 1-2 night stay.

Location is this units best feature. Right across from the train station. Unit itself was modern and, though small, had everything a person (or a couple) would want for a one or two night stay.

Directions out of the train station was confusing - should state which street exit to take. Bed (to me) was too firm, a result of being a Murphy style pull down bed. Instructions sent before arriving was way over complicated. Should put something in the unit that would tell renters where stores, food, and groceries could be obtained. For example, there is a huge shopping mall we were unaware of the other side of the train station - we only found out the next morning when leaving.

I loved that the apartment was so easy to access, the host was available at all times and was super helpful and that he took the time and effort to provide an apartment that was comfortable to all. I was super happy there and felt very safe!

Too small to be comfortable for 2 people. Loved easy access to train station the morning we left.

Claude was very responsive ! Extremely convenient to public transportation -- trams run in front and the train station is directly across the street. Front of building looked "iffy" ... BUT was secure with double coded doors entryway. Bed comfortable. The elevator was large enough to handle both of us and our luggage.

Unit is TINY. We are NOT big people, but with the wall bed down it is extremely difficult for 2 people to do anything other than sleep. Only one side of the bed is accessible -- you would need to squeeze against the wall to get in on the other side. To get to the "kitchen area", you need to squeeze between the foot of the bed & wall protrusion. There is absolutely no place to even open a suitcase unless you put it on the bed. If you are taking the train, this is a good place for a quick overnight stay.
