Really enjoyed this hostel, friendly and helpful staff and other guests seemed nice and social. Good common areas and bed had plug point, light and shelf for little things like water bottle or phone.
Bathrooms were a bit smelly, but were clean.

The location is perfect - about 20 minutes from the station and same distance, or less, to the center. The room was quite big, each person has space to store their things, the employees are very, very kind and talkative.
My bed had one power socket only so I could use the lamp or charger - not a big issue but a bit uncomfortable at times. The bathroom was not super clean, but it was fine.

The kindest, most helpful staff! Really accepting of all people. Really cute bar and living area. Free breakfast was a nice touch!
Beds were very squeaky, bathrooms were smelly/dirty (they got cleaned well 2x everyday but there were just a lot of people using them).

Spacious bathroom facilities, comfortable bed, ceiling fan in the room which was a huge bonus!

The hostel is cozy and there's a good atmosphere. There's a big locker for every guest under the beds, which makes it safe and easy to leave your things.
I didn't like the location at all. I was travelling alone and as a young woman, I didn't feel safe, especially during late hours. Kitchen was very crouded at times, but well organized.

There was live music which was good in the evening
Honestly this place felt more like a homeless shelter than a hostel. In the middle of the night a man came in to the room so drunk he shouldn't have been allowed in, climbed in to my bed (I was the only female in a room with three guys, one of whom had already drunkenly tried to come on to me while I was in bed so I was already feeling unsafe) then stood up, pulled down his underwear next to the bed and pissed all over the floor. How he was allowed in is crazy. I complained and asked for a refund but staff didn't help. Location was dodgy, rooms were not well maintained or comfortable, nothing much good to say about it to be honest.

This is a really really good hostel. I am surprised by the previous bad reviews. Honestly staying here was one of my best hostel experience, and I was travelling around hostels a lot before.
Bathrooms:
I liked that showers are clean and big, there was space to sit down and hang your clothes too. Clean and have big mirrors (plus a full body mirror too).
Atmosphere:
I like the atmosphere of the hostel, it’s very youth oriented and chill. I like stickers around the place, funny decorations and the overall design.
Kitchen:
The shared kitchen is very big, there are shelfs and fridge for guests. I was surprised how much space there was. There is a water fountain with cold refreshing water for all guests.
Rooms:
Very comfy and clean. There are rules that rooms are silent areas, and I was lucky to stay with people who respected this rule. I liked that the beds were nicely firm (hard to a good degree to make it comfy), especially pillows.
It’s not true that they don’t offer female only rooms, they do (and for the same price as the mixed dorms). I stayed in female only room and felt very safe.
Every guest gets a big storage box under their bed (it’s definitely bigger than the usual shelfs offered by many hostels). Remember to get your own padlock (but you can buy one here for like €3 if I remember correctly)
All bedsheets are Ikea quality-typical hostel accommodation standard.
Female oriented:
I loved that they offer free period products, female only dorms and they take part in “ask for Angela” campaign. It’s very woman solo travellers friendly and it’s amazing!
Common areas:
There are board games, guitar and keyboard available, a nice outdoor patio space and library with books. Plus there are computers if someone has to use one!
Location:
Very close to the center, very nice surroundings. It’s only 10-15 min walk to the centre, and there is a metro station here too.
Bad aspects:
The only drawback is that the breakfast food is poor. I liked that they use soya milk, but the food choice is very small (cereal or piece of bread with Nutella, jam or butter). I wish they offered some not sugary options like some cream cheese or some form of savoury sandwich spread. I understand that it’s free breakfast, but the choice is just super small which was disappointing.

The staff was really helpful and friendly. I reached 6 in the morning and the check in time was 3pm. I was exhausted and sleepy. The girl at the reception gave me the couch to sleep and I couldn’t be more thankful to her. Also, I was really cold at night, so another staff member gave me one more blanket.
The location, the crowd, the beds made noise and were shaky, the hostel looked shady, people stole food even after labelling, the heater the room didn’t work, the guests in the room had no respect for other sleeping guests.. I can go on!

Staff was nice and helpful
I felt unsafe as a woman walking the streets around the hostel alone. As a result of this, I did not want to be outside after sunset.
Also, it seemed like a woman was living in the disabled shower cabin.

Good location
Washrooms were cleaned during the daytime, blocking them for hours.
There was no light in the room at first, then they changed the light bulb.

I spent two days in a 4-bed dorm. It was ok in general. The staff was gentle and helpful. The breakfast was very cheap and something that can help you through the day. I would suggest it for short and cheap staying in Lyon. It is located in a central part of the city.
There has to be an improvement in the cleanliness of the showers and the toilet. This is also due to guest attitude because you can have someone cleaning the toilet every 5 minutes!
And just be careful when you walk at the neighborhood in midnight hours.

The hostel is really well located. Also, the vibe of it is really cool. Breakfast is so worthy, just 3€ a day and has so many options. It's really cheap also for people who will be staying for long. Staff is so friendly and kind. They open the door for you 24h.
The fridge and kitchen in general is a bit too small to place your stuff, so make sure you put in just the necessary. Also, you need a key to enter your room and you might forget to take it everytime you go out the room to the living room / kitchen.

The hostel and the staff working there were really nice. Everything was very clean, the bed was comfy and most important (as it was a very cold day when I was there) the shower was pleasant and hot. I really liked the interior of the common room with its different areas. There is as well a working place, really amazing if you have to do some computer work. The kitchen was well equipped. Also a big plus is the walking distance to the river, the city center and both of the main train stations.
Nothing too serious but the outside of the building could really need a renovation. In general I did not like the street itself so much where the hostel was located. There were groups of men standing in corners and the nearby little park and unfortunately I got some unpleasant looks and calls, which made me feel a little unsafe, even in the middle of the day.

Nice stuff, clean and comfortable rooms
No restrooms outside of the room and wash basin in the room itself (hard not to bother the other guests)

Have to admit, I was quite disappointed by this property. When I entered the hostel, the guy at the reception asked me to wait for 10 mins. I just asked the reason to which he cheekily said "Because you can see the computer is busy". The cocky tone doesn't set a very good precedent on a check-in. I even contemplated looking for other options.
Thankfully, after 10 mins, the lady took over and was very kind and helpful with the overall process. Provided lock and the key with a 10 euro refundable deposit.
Upon entering the room, I was apalled by how small it was.
There was hardly any space.
The locker was literally like a cage.
The shower was not consistent.
There were mosquitoes in the room.
The SFR and Orange Signal was very poor.
The wifi signal was very poor and didn't work for the entire 2 day stay.
The toilet paper ran out and there was no spare paper. The reception had to be contacted.
Lyon is a great city. For a complete experience, I wouldn't advise staying here unless you don't mind a rude guy at the reception, claustrophobic room replete with mosquitoes, slow shower and beyond egregious internet connectivity.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hostel has very nice vibe. We were just few people in the room, you get spacious cages to put your things in, beds are comfortable. It feels to me that they care.
The dormitory room could use at least a table to put things at when searching something in the backpack. However it was no biggie. I was oversleeping, and it was manageable.

I liked the large common room. The common room was split into a kitchen, dining room, common space, place to read and working room. There was also a yard with tables and place to hang clothes.
