Five Points Square - City Center

The accommodation was clean and comfortable, with very good facilities. It's location was excellent - right on Republic Square, in the heart of the city and convenient for bus and tram connections to other parts of the city and the airport. Sights such as the Belgrade fortress were within walking distance, as were plenty of restaurants and bars.

Unfortunately, the accommodation didn't offer breakfast (or any other meals), but there were cafés and supermarkets nearby. The lower floors of the building were being renovated when I stayed there, but the building work didn't really annoy me.

The staff were incredibly nice and friendly, as pretty much everyone in Serbia we met was. The beds were amazingly comfy and the black curtains were incredible. There's AC in the room and you are so close to everything. Taxis are incredibly cheap (from a UK point of view) for those further to reach places

First thing you should know is currently there is a fair amount of work happening around the hotel, so much so we didn't even know we'd arrived at the hotel because the entrance was derelict, the road barricaded off and there's no sign outside the building. The reception is on the 5th floor so there were no obvious signs on where to go when you first get there. We arrived Thursday and left Monday but were rudely awakened at 8:00am (7:30am according to one of my friends) with a chap on a pneumatic drill and the guys banging steel girders together outside the hotel in the building next door. Luckily this didn't happen on Saturday and Sunday and we were up at 7:00am on Monday to leave so again no issue.

The location was good

The entrance was extremely run down and dirty. It was hard to find.
