Lovely New Year break away at a welcoming B&B with lovely breakfast.

Very Friendly and welcoming, clean rooms, hot drinks facilities, perfect position in Weymouth for everything. Great views. Very nice breakfast 10/10.

Although nothing can be done about it, the top floor rooms are a trek. Especially with your luggage. Also, due to being so n one of the rooms on the top, hot water is a hit and miss and unfortunately for the majority of our stay it was non-existent 🫣, including the electric shower not working due to no pressure.

Well, I'd have liked an en-suite shower, but the design of the house doesn't allow that. I did have an en-suite W.C. and wash basin, and the separate private shower room was close-by and spotless.

Lovely short break in a great location.

The Anchorage is in a fantastic location with wonderful views of the sea, beach and harbour. It's just a short walk to everything; town, buses, eating places, shops, harbour, beach, station and theatre. Our room (family room with sea view) was comfortable and clean and had the bonus of a small seating area by the window. The hosts were friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. It happened to be Armed Forces Weekend when we visited and following Sarah's advice we watched the excellent parade (Veterans, bands and old military vehicles) from our window and waved a couple of flags. The cooked breakfast was freshly prepared and very tasty and the dining room also had a lovely sea view. There is also a lounge with a harbour view. On the day we were leaving the hosts kindly stored our luggage after we had checked out. The Anchorage is good value and being able to cancel without cost until around a week before is very helpful. Weymouth is a great location, having traditional beach facilities, plenty of eating places, a busy harbour which is great to watch, good transport links and interesting places to visit. The sea cruise and rowing boat ferry from Ferry Steps (just outside the B and B) are both great. All the buses go from the Kings Statue which is a short walk from the B and B and in the summer there is a helpful man who supervises the bus area and provides helpful information about all the services.

A great place to stay with friendly hosts.

My room was at the top of the house, which was a bit of a climb, but it wasn't a hard climb, but the view was well worth it, you looked right over the beach and out to sea. The room although a single, was a good size, clean and bright, all in all a great place to stay.

Excellent host, helpful and friendly. Marvellous view across the bay. Room was adequate in size, clean and comfortable. The hotel was in a perfect place, near the beach and the town, one minute to the beach and two minutes to the town.

Good B&B in a great location. Recommended.

I stayed for 3 nights in mid-May ‘25. I stayed in a single room with a sink and access to an external private toilet and bathroom. The room was comfortable for a small single room and the room, toilet and bathroom were very clean. Tea and coffee facilities were provided. The room was cleaned each day. The location of the property is excellent with easy access to the town, beach and harbour. I travelled by train and the property is around a 15 min walk from the station. I had a good vegetarian breakfast each morning. The owner is friendly and helpful. I’d stay again.

The location was perfect with excellent views across Weymouth beach and within walking distance of everything we wanted from the visit. The room was spotlessly clean and decorations were fresh and tidy throughout. You could tell the pride the owners have for the place. The breakfast was well prepared fresh each morning and was of high quality. Weymouth is awesome, and we loved the amusements in the nearby arcade. Sarah, our host, was very friendly, welcoming and helpful.

The ensuite shower room was a little cramped, and we didn't like that it didn't have a sink, so you had to wash your hands in the bedroom after using the loo. The breakfast, while excellent, was a little regimented and limited. You had to decide the day before what you wanted, and you had to go down at a certain time. We would have preferred things to be a little more casual with a wider range of breakfast options (appreciate this may be difficult with smaller venues).

Sarah and Jamie were amazing—so welcoming, easy to chat with, and full of great local tips. Breakfasts were delicious every morning, and the place was super cozy and spotless. Felt more like staying with friends than just a BnB. Definitely be back!

A nice break.

The only thing I'd warn about is the steep stairs. We got used to it but it would have put us off had we known beforehand. The owners Sarah and Jamie were lovely the food was lovely and freshly cooked each morning. The accommodation was clean and comfortable.

Just Amazing

Close to the beach with amazing views ,the bedrooms and bathrooms were immaculately clean and all teas and coffees were replenished every day there was a great choice of breakfast including a full English which was amazing and the hosts were very welcoming,would definitely recommend and stay again .

Anchors Away! A great stay at Weymouth at The Anchorage!

The Anchorage is in a superb location, looking out onto the beach and also the harbour, making the views exceptional and the beach, harbour and town centre all within easy walking distance. As a lone traveller I had a single room, and have to say the bed was one of the most comfortablest I have slept on whilst staying in a hotel/b&b, the room was also cleaned daily and restocked with teas/coffees/biscuits. The breakfasts were great and you had the option to change your mind each morning if you wanted to.

I can honestly say there was nothing I didn’t like!
