close to old town, close to bus station the apartment is below ground (basement) which is pretty dark but cool in summer, all windows have strong bars, which looks a bit like imprisoned, but feels safe on the other side, especially as people can look down into the rooms from the street beside the mouldy shower ceiling and curtain, the apartment was very clean
the bed was pretty uncomfy, just a thin mattress, placed on a wooden plank, but should not be a problem for young people. the owner accepts paying cash in Euro only (even they don´t have Euro in Croatia) or paying in Kuna with a very unfortunate currency rate (meant for online transfer only) - but he does not accept online transfer - so you better bring several hundreds of Euros with you
