The breakfast was excellent, dinner in the restaurant was excellent quality, it was definitely the best food we had all week. The beds were very comfortable.
It was very odd on check-in to be asked to sign paperwork that stated you were not to take alcohol into the bedroom that had been bought elsewhere. Also that we were not allowed to transport drinks from the bar to the room, we often like to finish our wine from dinner in the room whilst relaxing watching TV.
The first room we were allocated was not acceptable to us as it had no view whatsoever only the roof of the kitchen (very close so it made the room dark) and the noisy kitchen extractor fan on the wall outside. When I stated that the room was not acceptable it was changed immediately.
Dinner service that first evening was very slow due to there being a large party in the restaurant and a very slow wine waiter which meant that we waited for 35 mins to be served a drink........he was however very lovely and polite! The food (when it arrived) was, as previously stated, excellent!

Nice setting and spacious room
Breakfast very unorganised - had to ask for menu, nobody forthcoming to take our order, no plates for toast or pastries.
