Clean but not impressed

Not much did not say it was just yards from a main train line with a bar in the same building.

Clean and spacious, but noisy and hot, poor bed.

The view was pretty and the room was spacious. Very clean and well equipped kitchen.

The bed and pillows were poor in quality and comfort, the room was hot as it faced the sun and there was no air conditioner - we tried to keep the windows open at night but as the building is located next to an active train line (a train and an alarm of the pedestrian gate every few minutes even at night) and a construction site active at night, it was too noisy to sleep. Also the air in the room got humid, since the bathroom had no ventilation at all.

Wonderful view towards the lake, mountains and palm trees, walking distance to the center of Locarno. There is a 24/7 self-check in. The room was equipped with absolutely everything you will need during your stay (coffee machine, toaster, iron, oven, tea, dishes, etc). Extra baby bad free of charge. The owner Ms. Raissa is very welcoming and responds immediately via the messenger app. During weekend - parking was free in the school yard next to the house. Very practical location - with easy connections to different places in Ticino region.

Very good

Nice little studio with basic amenities and great location. Remote access, all the information on how to get to the apartment received via Booking.com. There’s no parking out front, but a convenient parking lot is located just a few minutes away. Well equipped kitchenette, which was a lifesaver during COVID times, when all the restaurants were closed. Nice selection of tea available, as well as coffee and sugar to it and some snacks. Too bad salt and pepper were missing. Around 8 o’clock it may get a little loud, as there are children coming to school (building located at the school yard), but it didn’t bother us.

It would be nice, if there were also salt & pepper in the kitchen.

Great location

The location, the view on the lake and mountains. Little breakfast included, and the apartment was clean. Raissa our host, has been available and reactive to our questions.

The bathroom is a little old and would deserve a refresh. And we missed a cosy corner to read our books in the evening.

Snikheet

Vlakbij het Lago Maggiore

Het was er snikheet, maar er is geen airco. Enkel een ventilator die veel lawaai maakt. Een raam openzetten was geen oplossing, er rijden treinen vlakbij en een school maakt je ook vroeg wakker. Veel nachtrust hebben we niet gehad.

Perfect gelegen eenvoudig appartement

De ligging is perfect, zeker voor openbaar vervoer gebruikers: station Minusio ligt meteen om de hoek. Vanuit de woon-/slaapkamer kijk je over het meer naar de bergen aan de overkant. Enkele supermarkten zijn op tien minuten lopen. Een goed wandel-/fietspad langs het meer gaat naar het centrum van Locarno (ongeveer 2 kilometer). De keuken is eenvoudig maar goed ingericht. Hetzelfde geldt voor de badkamer.

Het balkon is zo klein dat je er alleen kunt staan. Er is geen tv, wat ik zelf eigenlijk wel prettig vond.
