Very enjoyable stay in a lovely apartment

Lovely apartment. Spacious (rare in NL!), charming and well-furnished. Handily located above a really nice restaurant and next to a bus and tram stop (direct line, 5 mins to World Forum, 12 to city centre). Good bathroom and kitchen area. Strong wifi.

There was nothing I disliked, but a couple of very minor things that could be improved. When I arrived, it took me a few minutes to get in the front door as the numbers on the keypad are very hard to see in strong daylight (easy to see in the dark, ironically!). And there was no washing up liquid in the kitchen. An odd thing to omit.

Ok, but double-check if you can manage the stairway.

I was on vacation exploring Scheveningen and surrounding cities in NL. For this, the location was perfect with public transport before the door. 15 min to the beach walking distance safe neighbourhood. I found everything needed inside the Appartement.

I stayed for 9 ON, during this time the appartement was never cleaned, so I took care about the basics. There was just one window that could be opened within the whole appartement. The outside area of the appartment [Terasse] unfortunately could not be used, since the wooden furniture was not intact. In all fairness, it should be mentioned that the appartement is quiet challenging to access due to a very steep and tight stairway. People with walking disabilieties will have difficulties to move up and down esp with luggage. Given these points, I can recommend the appartement for a short trip to Scheveningen.

Will never return to this place

The worst costumer service I have ever experienced!!! We did not have hot water throughout our entire stay. They kept promising we will do our best to fix it but after 2 days it still was not fixed. They offerd us a 30% cashback BUT we have to leave a positive review first! This is a ridiculous and unprofessional way of trying to solve a problem. A positive review can be “earned” by offering a proper solution, and fixing the problem, not by blackmailing. Never got a reply after I told them this.

Could be a perfect beach house

The apartment is well furnished and the location is amazing but it could use a little TLC, some of the blinds and windows don't work and there's a draft around some of the windows but that's relatively minor the main issue I had with the apartment is that the bathroom always smells like sewage. I noticed you would hear water circulating from the shower drain when flushing the toilet, an indicator of an improperly installed P-trap. It's probably going to cost a bit for the property to fix but I think if you're renting out property this is essential to address and if they did this would easily be a 9/10 out of 10 property.

A disappointing experience!

We were a family of 4 attending my daughter’s graduation. Unfortunately there was only enough hot water for 2 people. I mentioned this to the Team and they sent someone around to have a look at the boiler whilst we were out. The next morning the same thing happened again, only enough hot water for 2 people. When I mentioned it again to the team their response was that they have been experiencing problems with the boiler, so why wasn’t this mentioned to me before! when I asked for some sort of discount for the inconvenience none was given. It’s a tired apartment with a broken corner sofa, not enough water glasses, chipped plates and bowls, unclean cutlery. And no HOT water. With a little TLC this place could be beautiful.

The place was clean and the beds were comfortable but the cooking facilities need updating.

The apartment was clean, bright and comfortable.

There was no oven! Just a microwave and not enough crockery for 6 people, the glasses etc need to be replenished, I never understand why a place can say for 6 people and there’s not 6 place settings, it’s just not good enough? The griddle did not work so we couldn’t cook at all.

Simple comfortable stay in Scheveningen

Spacious and bright apartment with all needed for a weekend away.

No possibility to leave the luggage before/after check-in/check out. Cleanliness was correct but not at the top.

We were satisfied with the choice.

I expected something else according to images but it was comfortable and close to sea which was the best part. We could just take slippers and towels and be in the water in minutes.

There might have been extra pillows and some curtain for the shower.

Great stay!

Great location to amenities, Cute set-up, spacious bathroom and bedrooms in the top floor apartment. Very handy for public transport as stops near front door.

Would have been great to have a compendium with info such as rubbish disposal, property details and local info. Very noisy street life at night with windows open, and no air conditioning in summer on third floor. Very low water pressure in shower. As mentioned previously not suitable for elderly as stairwells very steep.

We really enjoyed our week long stay.

The studio apartment is simply furnished and roomy with beautiful large windows. There is a supermarket close by. The beach, public transportation and restaurants are also close by. The radiator heating system was really responsive. We had some cooler spring weather so the warmth was greatly appreciated.

The stairs are typical of an older building in the Netherlands, small stairs at a steep angle.

It was fine but that’s it

clean and comfortable, very spacious and homey

The kitchen is really small and not equipped for cooking. Only one small induction cook top so really only good for small things like eggs. The apartment was up 2 flights of very steep stairs, very common in the Netherlands but still something to consider. I needed to buy a lot of extras for our stay, we came for 11 nights but were only given 3 toilet paper rolls and a little bit of dish soap. Should be more considerate of the time spent in the apartment when giving the basics. We wanted to keep the suitcase in the hall after checkout but didn’t get an answer from the owner.

Very comfortable bed , room a good size. Kitchen well equipped. Very pleasant appartment.

Not complaints but be careful, on road parking is difficult to find. If you have a car take advantage of the paid parking which is offered. Also stairs are very steep, heavy suitcases may be a problem. There is a kettle and a nespresso machine, remember to take your own tea, coffee and sugar etc.

The space was open, with nice natural light. Location was great for us as prefer beach area to center. It was surface clean.

Poor communication with owners. Slow to respond leading up to getting into he place and then no response once we got in. No phone # available to speak to someone. Not an easy check in for us. We did not understand check in procedure as beyond our technical experience. Some employees from a phone store helped with that as the owner did not respond. We did not understand how to open links to pay city tax and parking as not highlighted and we could not be sent entry instructions until this was paid We had no control of the radiators for heat so we spent evenings and mornings cold. Heat came on at 830 just as we were preparing to go out for the day. Again owner did not respond to emails asking how to get heat when we wanted it. TV was available via streaming from our phone or tablet only. Again beyond our technical skills. I tried to figure out with help og google. Again no response from owner when I requested a call to explain procedure. The room was clean but stained furniture and pillows made one feel dirty. Entry could use a clean up. With no TV for evening entertainment we relied on reading. One of the mounted reading lights was broken and other lighting sources dim. Sewer smell in room on last 2 days. I think it was related to taking showers? No emergency contact # , no instruction manual re TV or explaining heating.

Lovely stay in a very convenient apartment with very helpful staff over email.

Great location close to the beach and shops. Perfect for public transport links. plenty of windows to ventilate the apartment. induction hot plate worked well… didn’t even need to use the combi oven microwave!

Noisy at night- especially weekend nights. Suggest if you are travelling by car that you look at parking well ahead of time and either book Alta Mar studio parking or pre book with another provider in town

Close to boardwalk

Excellent location. Easy access to boardwalk. I would recommend and stay again.

The cleanliness of the kitchenette could have been better. Please check on kitchen cabinet doors and toaster. Why isn't there a shower partition/curtain? The toilet light was not bright enough.

A comfortable nice residence for a mini vacation at one of the popular beaches in the Netherlands

Keyroom: The instructions were very clear. You just follow it and the rest will follow easily. Location: It was at the beginning of the mainroad, where you just make a stroll along the beach and you will naturally come across beach tents, restaurants, other activities and of course the beach itself.

We like to keep a window open during our midnight sleep, however if you are situated next to the mainroad, it comes with traffic noises. Did not get much sleep.

Beautiful, clean apartment, great location. Parking is close by. Beach is 5 min walk. No elevator, very steep stairs, not easy to navigate with large suitcases.

*Location super close to the beach, supermarket and restaurants *Kitchen was well equipped *Nice interior design *Spacious room (I stayed in the studio)

*Room was not dark at night because one window does not have a curtain *Soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty *There was a hair on the dish sponge *Due to construction work in the street during the day a lot of noise *I booked for 3 nights but only stayed 1 because I spotted a mouse in my room. I called the owner and he said that this was a recent problem due to the construction work in the street. I got back my money for the two nights I did not stay so this was handled fine. *Fire alarm in my room and in a room on the floor above me was beeping when I arrived (could have been noticed before my arrival by simply checking the rooms before a guest arrives)

Perfect location and nice interior. The host is very nice and uncomplicated. The flat is not missing a thing except maybe a dishwasher.
