Scheveningen Diamond View Beach and Harbour

Scheveningen itself is very nice.

Where to start? This unit rental was awful. First, after booking the unit I contacted the owner with our cell and email so he'd have it and just to confirm things. No response at all. Ok fine, whatever. Days later drive five hours to Scheveningen and still no check in details or any contact whatsoever. Called the owner up and he was in Spain "on a mountain" he said and he was unaware of my booking. Say what?!?! Really?!?! He said he wasn't sure if the unit was available and would call his cleaning person and let us know. When he called back he said it would be fine but there was only one key and the cleaner was scrambling to clean the place. When we got there the towels were still being dried in the dryer. No one was around. We picked up the key via a lockbox from instructions he sent via Whatsapp. We were three people and rented this because it is a two bedroom unit. Then when we get there we see that they made up three beds in ONE room? Texted the owner and he was like what do we expect as we are only three people? Dude, we are renting the whole unit and that includes the full second bedroom. We paid all our fees for three people etc. Obviously it was too much work for his cleaner to make up beds in the other bedroom and didn't want to clean in there. Place might have been nice in the past but it was pretty disappointing. Not clean. No toilet paper. Owner said his cleaner didn't have time to buy toilet paper. Really? Maybe you need to fire your cleaner and get someone better. Window was partially cracked in a bedroom. Found an empty bottle of port in other bedroom. Freezer had some nasty leftover food. General state of apartment was dirty and grungy. We rented the place for a week. Two other units in the building we're having renovations done. So all week during the day there was a constant sound of loud banging and drilling. Not relaxing at all.

For all who is interested to trip to den Haag the first time like me, I can only recommend this apartment. Perfect location just almost at the beach but very quiet neighborhood, modern furniture with lots of rooms and beds, underground garage and a very nice friendly owner. Price is not its strength but every penny is worthy.

It’s would be 100% if the window facing the sea could be cleaned.

The flat was really nice and spacious, with a great view of the harbor. The host was very friendly and met us at arrival. Communication before arrival was seamless. The location of the flat was very good. There is a beach 5 min walk away and restaurants and a food shop in close proximity of the property. The beds were very comfortable. We visited as a family of 5 and had plenty of space.

Friendly host and a great location lots of restaurants nearby. Nice little balcony overlooking the harbour.

The apartment is huge and has amazing views. It is nicely furnished and comfortable for a large family or a group of friends. The host was great, very friendly and helpful with everything. We loved that it was so close to the beaches, we had some lovely walks with our dogs. We will be back.

Heerlijk appartement mooi ingericht en met alles wat je maar kunt wensen! Uitzicht op de haven én op het strand waar je gewoon de zeehonden ziet liggen.
