Moringa Ubud Villa

Comfortable villa tucked away in rice fields. Very peaceful to stay here but be wary of insects.

It is significantly smaller than the photos make it seem. It is just one room, a bathroom and a pool area

Moringa Villa is beautiful and charming in a very rustic Balinese way. The gardens were lush and green and home to birds, frogs, lizards, geckos, squirrels and rats. We loved watching them from the veranda whilst listening to people working in the rice field behind. Our favourite part of our stay was Nana and the staff. They are all gorgeous people, and went out of their way to assist in making our time at Moringa pleasurable. My husband fell ill whilst we were there and Nana very kindly picked up medicine for him, brought him young coconut from her garden and offered to make him ginger porridge. She even checked in on his well-being after we had moved on to our next location. The in villa breakfasts were a highlight and we loved the Balinese cakes each morning.

One of the down sides of the lush garden was that the pool was shaded and consequently too cold for me to swim in. It weather was very mild when we were there so probably wouldn’t be a problem other times in the year.

Wow, what can I say! Nana met us to help with our bags and walked us to the villa. The villa is a traditional villa and the most beautiful home. We had a lovely breakfast cooked for us every morning, what more could you wish for!

The only recommendation I have would be to proved somewhere to hang wet pool clothes.
