Villa Jade Apartments FRONT ROW SEA VIEW - WALK TO KORCULA OLD TOWN

Great view, nice terrace, lots of space. Free washing machine.

Terrible sound proofing between apartments. We were woken at 4-5 o'clock one morning by the next apartment packing to catch an early ferry. The fridge smelt of rotten fish when we arrived (we cleaned it), no lighting on the outside stairs. No dining table in the apartment - when it rained we had to bring the outside table in. Loads of space so seems like a silly oversight. A brush and pan would have been nice (there was a broom). Would have been helpful if there was a sign to tell you that you had found the right place. Only two parking spaces for three apartments, so had to park on the road most days. Laundry room was appreciated, but badly in need of a clean.

Julia the host was fantastic from start to finish, we were originally booked for 3 days but loved it so much we extended our stay for a further 4 nights. The main apartment was beautiful, the most comfortable bed I've slept in and the terrace was perfect for the magnificent sunsets. All in all we loved our time at Villa Jade, we really didn't want to leave!

Location was decent. About 12 minutes to old town of Korcula. Lovely patio overlooking small secluded bay.

This apartment has the air of neglect and could be so much better with some revamping of furniture, decor and kitchen area. Superficially clean, but worn , uncomfortable couch, no real indoor dining area, no place to hang coats or sweaters by entrance door. The outdoor patio was wonderful, had a drying rack but only 2 clothes pegs. I requested more toilet paper and on departure two days later none had arrived. The shower was embarrassing, having an elastic band holding it together. The stove had no identifiable signs as to on/off direction and could have used a good scrub.The bed, although somewhat comfortable, was a sorry excuse for a bed. I recommend that the owner lives in this apartment for 4-5 days to see what is needed to improve the condition.
