Very clean

No toilet roll holder!! Second visit and left same review a year ago. Winter stays are damp and toilet roll needs to be off surfaces that get damp

Great stay with the family

After a long drive, We arrived early evening. The main reception was closed but all was set up for an easy check-in and room was already for us. Great for family's, rooms was lovely and had plenty of room (We wasn't under each others feet).

A few more useful bits in kitchen. Like a bread Knife for making sandwiches and a chopping knife to go with the chopping board to cut up some fruit and veg for the snacks.

A good option for a stopover near Charmouth if walking the South West Coast Path.

The room was clean and bright with new carpet. Quite basic, but comfortable. The mini-kitchen was useful. The spa was very welcome after a long day walking the South West Coast Path.

The spa closed early so we only had 20mins. The location was a little isolated without a car with no shops, cafes, pubs etc within walking distance. It felt rather isolated out of season.

Superb location and views from the lodge (Lodges #1 and #2)

The lodges were very comfortable and clean with most things that we needed for the 3 nights.

Nothing to dislike. The only comment I would make is that neither lodge had an oven glove or tongs. These are fairly essential items for cooking!

The location was good for what we wanted

The food was not as good as the time before when we stayed. The towel rail in the bathroom was too hot I burnt my arm on it, if it had been a child it would have been very dangerous.

Perfect location, would stay again

Pool was good, but wasn't made aware we had to book in or pay. Just got handed a key at reception with a map of where we was. No idea if there was entertainment as it wasn't mentioned to us.

Doors could have been better quality to block out the corridor noise, they're just basic internal doors on the studio apartments so was noisy when people came back.

didn't realise there would be stairs, thought a family lodge room would be on the flat, not part of an apartment block could do with a night light, sensory light or something in bathroom as difficult to navigate too at night without putting lights on

Nice room although still quite a lot of steps. I’d booked a room for an elderly relative who is quite immobile and originally booked a room above the restaurant not having seen the note on the final step that the original room involved a lot of stairs. As it’s non refundable we then had to change the room and date of the stay. They did also upgrade the room to a nice studio apartment but just be aware that if you have mobility issues you should check first and ask for one without steps.

A week down south

Poolside room nice comfortable beds, good shower .easy acces to restaurant and bar .pool good sauna nice touch bit too cold for outdoor pool which was a good size .

A lovely place for a staycation with short drives to some lovely local places and beaches.

Great lodge, spacious and with 2 bathrooms was great to stop everyone having to wait too long to use, kitchen came with pretty much everything we needed and was clean on arrival. Lovely large play area for the kids. The restaurant served good food in quick time and having a takeaway option as well was ideal. Staff were friendly and happy to help with any queries.

It’s a shame we couldn’t park right beside the lodge but we never had an issue with spaces to park nearby. Great to have 2 pools but if it had been bad weather I would think it would be tricky to access the indoor due to its smaller size. I presume the booking system was added in the hope to be fair for everyone to get a booking.

Nice park, shoddy accomodation

Parks lovely, beach is walkable and the coastal route to Lyme is about an hour and a half. The clubhouse is good and there are 2 lovely play parks for kids. Close to a busyish road but not too bad and didn't bother is in a chalet, not sure about the tents closest to it though.

Room is dirty. Fitted to very low standard. Cobwebs and bits of dust and rubbish behind and under furniture, even a packet of cigarettes just under bed and hairs in shower. Just no effort gone into cleaning. Stains and marks on work tops and just shoddy all round. Feels like the sort of accommodation you'd get on a Butlins 18-30s holiday - in hindsight maybe what I should have expected.

A good break from normal routines.

The location was excellent, easy to find and near to local attractions, and was very clean with everything that we needed.

The apartment was at the top of a very steep flight of stairs which we found a bit daunting, especially for taking luggage up and down. It was also directly above an outside set of tables and benches, and thus very noisy until midnight as people took their drinks out there and talked loudly. After midnight, it quietened down.

Ideal stop over to Cornwall & great for kids!

Very good for short stay - loved the 2 adjoining rooms & safe for toddler as all on one level. Lovely spacious shower, big white towels & really good that we could self cater. Perfect for our needs thank you!

The window at the top corner looks like didn't clean for long time. Towels need to renew. No tissue provide at room, only a toilet roll in toilet. Swimming pool close too early.

The room we booked was too small to fit 4 adults. We asked for 1 double bed and 2 single bed. But the single bed size was not suitable for adults.

Functional for our needs

the room we booked was not the room we ended up in but it was ok for the 2 days we stayed except it was right next to the pool and very noisy. if not the seagulls it was shouting parents and screaming children.

there was nothing really not to like, it was functional for what we needed for the 2 days we were seeing family. Parking was fine, the facilities were clean, it was not full so not too many people around. i did have to defrost the little freezer bit and there was only 1 teaspoon but thats about it.

The best spot to stay to explore the Jurassic coast

We love the location and the vibe. The swimming pool is an added bonus and the restaurant is superb!

We had a front room at the motel (above reception) and once the bar closed, people would move to the benches there and be extremely loud. It was a heatwave and we had to close the windows so that aspect wasn’t enjoyable!

A real family wonderland. Playground and pool were loved by the whole family. The weather was really nice when we visited so we didn’t get to explore the inside facilities, but they also looked really nice. There was shop on site- very convenient:) the room was clean and comfortable

Perfect location

Location was perfect, easy to get to and parking directly out side of the rooms. We didn't use ant of the cooking facilities bit it all look in good condition and well stock with utensils and pans. We did also have a fault with the shower and this was resolved straight away.

The rooms were very noisy you could here everybody out in the corridor and the doors opening and closeing. Better sound proofing is required. The room also had a lot of cobwebs and spiders in the corners of the room. but over all it did seem fairly clean

Good qaulity accomodation in a lovely part of the country.

Amazing family suite, seprate room with twin beds for the kids and lots of space. Bar and pool downstairs, so easy to get to everywhere.

The pool opening hours were a bit limited, I woul dprefer a later opening to allow people who had been out all day to still have a swim.

Room amenities very poor standard, no shower gel and only 1 toilet roll and 2 towels for a room of 3 people. Also no bedding provided for the sofa bed for the child.
