Excellent accommodation and service for a restful and satisfying five days by the sea.

Breakfast was delicious with a wide choice of fruits and cereals followed by a cooked breakfast of choice. All were beautifully presented. Our hosts, Pauline and Antony, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. We were absolutely delighted with our choice of hotel.

No complaints whatsoever. Satisfied with the whole package.

The exterior and interior of the property are spotless and superbly presented. Everything seems perfectly maintained and clean with very homely decorations and beautiful gardens. When you arrive you really feel like you’re entering somewhere special and unique. The bed was so comfortable with spotless crisp sheets, the hosts are very welcoming and helpful and the breakfast was amazing with a very good variety of options and homemade, some homegrown fruit and yogurts which we absolutely loved along with the cooked food.

Could do with black out blinds in the room we stayed in just for the morning but that’s it really.

An unforgettable stay at the Court Prior.

Quite a beautiful B&B with fine decoration and excellent amenities. You are quickly made to feel at home thanks to the warm welcome of the owners and the delicious breakfast cooked by Pauline every morning. A great many thanks to Pauline and Anthony. Not only do I highly recommend the Court Prior but I look forward to going back!

Excellent B&B in a very pretty English seaside town.

Lovely Victorian property, tastefully updated. Rooms were spacious and well appointed. Hosts Pauline and Anthony were gracious, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was exceptional, fresh food, beautifully prepared, tasty, and plenty of it. Would stay here again if we return to Torquay.

The only niggle was the location at the top of a steep hill, it was a bit of a chore for our old bones to get up there after going down into the town.

Perfect

The court prior is lovely. So clean and the hosts are so welcoming. Breakfast was perfect and Pauline made Greek yogurt compots with fresh bramley apples from her friends apple trees in the Cotswold they were delicious 😋. Would definitely stay here again.

It was quite a way up. It's all hills in Torquay though. The walk is very picturesque on the way down and only £5 f0r a taxi on the way back.

A friendly and welcoming arrival from Anthony and Pauline. The room was beautifully and spotless. A good quiet area not far from both the shops and the sea front. A comfy bed for a good night's sleep. Excellent breakfast, very accommodating and helpful.

Just about everything was done to make guests welcome & comfortable .The room was delightful the bed was luxurious. I awoke each day to a huge choice for breakfast and there was a car parking Definitely recommended.

Anthony was approachable, sweet, attentive & a very welcoming host. The breakfast was great. The room was clean, big & comfy. Beautiful building. Close to town harbour. Would stay here again.

See through plain glass window on bathroom door. Steep Hilly climb to accommodation. There should be an option of a 'Do Not disturb sign'/ 'no housekeeping needed'' available for your door. Felt a bit intrusive each day. The bed doesn't even get made, we've never come across this before.

Absolutely everything exceptional nothing was too much trouble for our hosts pauline and anthony from the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out. breakfast choices were amazing from cereals to a full english breakfast cooked to perfection.we will be telling all our friends and family about Court prior.

An all round first class stay. Pauline & Anthony made us very welcome from the moment we arrived. Very helpful & accommodating, they explained the "Rules of the House" , & gave us our breakfast slot. Our rooms were very cosy, very spacious with a modern en-suite. All the facilities you would expect with little extra touches all over the place. The food/breakfast was delicious. Good choices of cereals, juices & fruit with a cooked breakfast made to order. We used the lounge a couple of evenings to play board games, which was useful. Adequate parking with Anthony more than happy to help with our cases in &, when we were ready to leave, out. Well worth its 4* rating, highly recommend. Thank you Pauline & Anthony, keep doing what you are doing.

The hilly area. We walked down then back up a couple of times, but took the car the rest of the time. But this is a really minor moan. We could have persevered & got fitter, but, hey, we were on holiday! lol.

Highly enjoyable stay in Torquay to celebrate a milestone birthday.

Hosts were excellent, always going that extra mile to help out when needed. Standard and location of the hotel was outstanding, even though the hill back from the seafront was quite challenging! Little extras like snacks left out, use of the lounge and availability of a fridge, were really nice. Great choice for breakfast, served with a smile and a few tips for wherever you were going that day. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again soon.

A beautiful stay with lots of care and consideration put into every aspect.

The breakfast was exceptional with a huge range of choice everyday, we were made to feel like friends within the first day and they went the extra mile to make it special for our honeymoon. We are very glad we stay here for our special holiday.

Disappointing- caused more stress than being at work.

Mistakenly left fish and chip wrappers in the bedroom (after not being able to leave due to severe illness)- Hosts rang my private number whilst out enjoying our day, proceeded to shout at me down the phone for this, spoke to me like a child after I apologised profusely. We were not made aware that there were ANY rules on food upon arrival or at any point in our stay (no leaflets or welcome guide advising on food being brought back) or else we would have obliged. Made to feel very uncomfortable on arrival back to B&B however, wanted to again apologise for any upset caused to which hosts found it acceptable to continue to argue about the situation and caused great upset and embarrassment resulting in me leaving. Before ending our stay we went to thank them for the breakfast and was met by an eye-roll and a forced “thanks”. We were completely taken aback with how badly the hosts dealt with this situation (for us a complete overreaction) and can’t help but think that if it had been an older couple in our situation it would not have been dealt with this way. It overtook any of the positives from the experience for us and consequently ruined our holiday.
