The room was a great size for a family of four. Good location for a stop on our journey back to Calais. Breakfast was very nice.

Carole is a superb host, the room was perfect for us and our two children. The decor is beautiful and the breakfast is suitably continental. It was great to hear a bit about the history of the house including the visit of a famous composer.

The owner and his husband were very pleasant and passsionate about their home. She talked a lot about the area, her garden and her family history in the house and others who had visited from other countries who had served in the wars in northern France. Her garden fruits were impressive and she seems to have perfected her Fig jam, it was really delicious - figs grown in her garden despite the very open exposed and elevated position, she explained that the fig tree is a relatively protected spot.
My room was pleasant, regrettably the bathroom was across the landing - at night I had to leave my room locking the door, unlock my private bathroom to visit the loo, then lock my bathroom and return to my room - I was conscious that this may have disturbed other guests or perhaps not, but it made it less relaxing for me.
