Wonderful stay in gorgeous mountain village

Absolutely wonderful stay. Cannot wait to share this wonderful experience with clients, family and friends. Babsi is operated by a sweet, hardworking local family who made us feel right at home. The apartment was newly updated with all the modern conveniences one can expect. You can each them by train to Bolzano and then cable car up or you can drive if you have a car. They also run a fun and lively family restaurant which makes eating out easy.

A very comfortable room in a practical location with good food

The location is extremely practical, only a few mins from the lift station in Oberbozen. The room was comfortable, with plenty of space, and a communal kitchen with crockery was provided. The food at the attached restaurant was also delicious.

Check-in felt like the hotel is second-class to the restaurant: you go to the bar, and then get redirected to the one member of staff who also handles the hotel, and wait for him to finish waiting tables. Non-couples, be warned that the glass doors on the bedroom’s bathroom leave no privacy!

A sweet little spot just a few steps away from the Bolzano/Renon cable car.

Nice little apartment in the beautiful village of Renon, above Bolzano. Family run, friendly and helpful hosts. If you’re planning on driving, be prepared for typical mountain roads that twist and turn, but nothing too scary or problematic (in summer)

Only a tiny bar of soap for hands and some bathroom tissue provided. You’ll have to bring or buy soap for showering, shampoo, dish soap, paper towels…etc. There is a nice grocery store within walking distance

An absolute hidden gem. Great people, wonderful accommodation and superb food.

Everything was perfect. Lovely welcoming owners and staff, room with a balcony and a small cooking station area where you could prepare breakfast. The restaurant served wonderful food and there is a very pretty garden to sit out in. Highly recommended.

Superb

We enjoyed our stay at Babsi's a lot. The room was great! We enjoyed having a kitchen at our disposal for breakfast, so we could eat some of the lovely rolls from the bakery across the street. They offered mountain bike rental, so one day we got e-bikes to go up the Rittnerhorn. All staff was very friendly and welcoming. We also had dinner there twice, good food!

Babsi's closed on Tuesdays, which means the grassy outdoor seating area right in front of our window was pleasantly quiet that evening, until some man decided 8 pm was the perfect time to start mowing that lawn. It's a pretty large area, and he kept the motor running while he moved all the furniture back and forth. So he was still at it by 10 pm when it finally became too dark, and he eventually quit. We appreciate that the grass needs mowing and also that this can only be done on the one day the place is closed, but why this had to be done so late in the day, we couldn't understand.

Schöne Aussicht und sehr gemütlich

Heimeliges Hotel, sehr verwinkelt und dementsprechend ist jedes Zimmer anders. Mit der Ritten-Gäste-Karte konnten wir schnell mit der Seilbahn nach Bozen und zurück.

Super Lage. Super Zimmer. Super Leute

Das Gasthaus liegt am Rand des Dorfes und ist trotzdem zentral gelegen. Keine 2 Minuten entfernt ist der Bahnhof mit Tram und Seilbahn. Das Gasthaus ist ein ehemaliges Kloster mit sehr schönen Zimmern, die passend restauriert wurden. Das Personal ist sehr nett und alles sprechen Deutsch und Italienisch.

Die Zimmer sind sehr hellhörig, wer es total leise mag, sollte das bedenken. Ansonsten gibt es nichts an dem Gasthaus auszusetzen.

Lugar agradable en Soprabolzano

Funciona como hotel-apartamento. No dan desayuno, pero hay un local al lado que abre cada día a las 7.30. Habitación amplia, cuarto de baño no tanto, pero suficiente. En el distribuidor hay una mini cocina con algo de menaje y una nevera común. No creo que de para hacer una cena de verdad, pero si para tener unas cervezas frescas y la comida para la excursión. No limpian la habitación durante la estancia. Está ligado a un restaurante donde cenamos una noche, nada extraordinario, aunque tienen un jardin muy agradable. Muy cerca del funicular que te baja a Bolzano en 12 min.

Un poco caro (unos 150€/dia) para lo que se ofrece.

Geweldig gasthuis met zeer vriendelijk personeel

Bij binnenkomst wisten we meteen dat we het hier naar ons zin zouden gaan hebben. We werden meteen supervriendelijk verwelkomt. Het hotel wordt gerund door Babsi en haar zoons. Zowel van binnen als van buiten ziet het hotel er mooi en authentiek uit en bevindt zich op een toplocatie. Het eten uit het restaurant was simpelweg voortreffelijk, van pizza’s tot streekgerechten. Er is geruime zitplaats in de gezellige binnenruimte en grote tuinen. Het personeel werkte keihard en is zeer vriendelijk en liet ons thuis voelen. Bij het verbleef kregen we een rittenkaart om gebruik te maken van het OV. Op enkele minuten loopafstand van het hotel bevindt zich de kabelbaan naar Bolzano waarmee je in 12 minuten in de stad kunt zijn. Al met al een perfect verblijf gehad en daarom een welverdiende 10.

Für den Preis (150.00 € pro Nacht) ist die angebotene Leistung mehr als dürftig (auch wenn in der Gästeinformation darauf hingewiesen wird), Alle in anderen Häusern als Selbstverständlichkeit angebotenen Leistungen wie Reinigung des Badezimmers, Betten machen, Wechsel der Handtücher (zumindest einmal pro Aufenthalt) werden nur gegen zusätzliche Gebühren angeboten. Die Bitte, bei der Ankunft um etwas zu trinken, nach langen Autofahrt, wurde obwohl sich noch Gäste im Garten befanden, mit dem Hinweis auf die bereits erfolgte Schließung der Gaststätte und des beginnenden Ruhetages abschlägig beschieden. Man möchte sich doch bei der in der Nähe befindlichen Metzgerei selbst versorgen. Für Hausgäste geht so etwas gar nicht. Beim Gepäck wurde keinerlei Hilfe angeboten, trotz steiler und enger Treppen. Bei der Abreise wurde nach dem Bezahlen, keinerlei Nachfragen von seitens des Chefs (???) nach dem Aufenthalt, noch ein Dank für den Besuch in diesem Haus ausgesprochen. Kommentarlos wurde die Quittung ausgehändigt und Servus. Soweit zur Freundlichkeit.

War ein wunderbarer Urlaub!

Super Lage im "Zentrum" von Oberbozen - in Nähe der Seilbahn und der Strassenbahnhaltestelle - aber angenehm ruhig! Angenehmes und nicht zu großes Haus mit spürbarer Historie mit gepflegten schönen Zimmern. Das angeschlossene Gasthaus bietet echt gutes Essen in schöner Atmosphäre, traumhafter Gastgarten. Besitzer - die das angeschlossene Gasthaus betreiben - anwesend, hilfsbereit und sehr nett. Parkplätze stehen auch zur Verfügung.

Es wäre schön, wenn man ein Frühstück anbieten würde! Gibt aber unmittelbar gegenüber Fleischerei und Bäckerei, Kaffee in der Nähe! Über die Woche sollte Bettwäsche oder wenigstens Handtuch einmal kostenfrei gewechselt werden. Das war bei uns nicht der Fall - für frische Handtücher werden lt. Aushang 5 Euro verrechnet.... das sollte schon inkludiert sein.

Die Lage nahe der Seilbahn ist sehr hervorzuheben. Die beiden die Unterkunft und das Restaurant führenden Söhne von Babsi sind sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich.

Leider wird kein Frühstück angeboten.
