Für unser Pfingstwochenende war die Lage des Hauses ausgezeichnet. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und wir hatten gute Gespräche. Das Frühstück war sehr gut und ausreichend. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns die große Terrasse, wo man am Abend die lauen Temperaturen genießen konnte und die herrliche Bergkulisse.

The host was very nice and friendly. We arrived at 3 am as my flight was delayed and it was no problem at all. Very nice and cosy room in a beautiful Austrian house. Breakfast was delicious with many home-made options. The property is located less than 5 minutes drive and ~10mins walk from the Matrei-Kals cable car (I think you could ski down nearly all the way back, but I wasn't there during the ski season). Overall, it was a better experince than a 5* hotel for me and would certainly recommed for anyone going for a holiday to Matrei.
