Breakfast was OK, typical Japanese style breakfast. Staff was extremely polite but can tell a lot of them were not able to communicate in English. The location was awesome, being right beside the river and walkable to all the Arashiyama attractions.
Hotel itself was a bit on the old side, not too pretty but was OK. The dinner wasn't that good. There were many courses, kaiseki style, but a lot of them weren't so notable. It made us full but didn't quite impress.
