A beautiful hotel with a lovely traditional Japanese atmosphere. My room was spacious, with traditional flooring, and absolutely amazing. The onsen was wonderful, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The complimentary ramen served from 10 to 11 pm was a lovely touch! A few practical tips: early check in costs ¥5,000 per hour, and there is a separate bathing tax for using the onsen. You leave your shoes at reception, so make sure you have clean socks! 😊 Bus 26 from Kyoto Station - Stop D3, stops just two minutes’ walk from the hotel. A taxi from the hotel to the geisha district cost me around ¥3,500. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
I arrived two hours before check in and simply wanted to leave my bags, have a quick shower and head into town to make the most of my day. Although my room was ready, early access cost ¥5,000 per hour. With an onsen on site, I would have appreciated being offered access to its shower facilities as an alternative.
