Riad Tizwa Marrakech

Like all riads in the quiet backstreets of Marrakesh it was a little difficult to find but the location was good. It's on the far side to El Djem meaning walking there in the hot summer sun took about 15 hot sweaty minutes but so many beautiful things to look at on the way! Staff were amazingly helpful and breakfast on the roof terrace was yummy! Wait staff at breakfast did a great job and the freshly cooked breads with local jam was delicious! The room was beautifully appointed with local touches giving it a beautifully traditional flavour. The pick up point for day trips was a two minute walk so for this aspect it was a good location.

We booked a twin room, ine double bed under a canopy was beautiful but the other bed in the room was a very small bed suited to a child. We requested a better bed the second night which was slightly better but stillnot a proper bed. It would have been better if the second bed were a proper sized single bed. When made the original booking the riad informed us that the room I booked did not have an internal bathroom which I appreciated but I ended up having to pay more to book a different room with a bathroom. This was not on the booking description and ended up costing me more money.

Very comfortable and spacious room, very quiet, nicely decorated and with effective AC which helped in the 40C heat! Good bed with quality linens. Location was great; we walked to everything. Easy access from car dropoff. Manager Hassan and team were very responsive, welcoming and helpful.

Water supply is not good at all. The price is too expensive for whats provided.
