Clean hostel with heaps of space around the hostel Multiple kitchens and fridges Pool was nice Air con in the room was amazing Super friendly staff who even gave me an upgrade to a 4 bed room for 1 night Plenty of free parking out front Good cooking facilities with air fryer, oven, stoves

Gym was old and had 2-3 weights You had to pay a deposit for everything you used. Deposit for towel Deposit for fork Deposit for plate Deposit for a blanket Deposit for key card And the money doesn’t come back til a week later

Great hostel for meeting new people and making friends! The staff are super lovely and welcoming, and the pool area has such a relaxed vibe — perfect for chilling out and hanging with other travelers. Really enjoyed my stay here!

Room needed more storage

The showers and toilets outside the room, but good facilities. Very friendly staff. Is in a good spot in Port Douglas.

The cages or crates to leave staff instead of having lockers and no plugs close to the bed at the top.

The location was great. Near the main street but tucked away in a quiet area.

Kitchen sink was dirty ALL the time, bits of food everywhere and the pans/pots were not in great conditions either. Sinks in the toilets had soaked tissues left there, showers had a fair bit of hair on the floor and flooded. Most guests are long term backpackers who live there, so it is very cliquey and not friendly/welcoming at all. They act like that is their own place (phone calls in the dorms when people are sleeping, coming back middle of the night and slamming doors etc). May be okay if you plan to stay longer and eventually make friends, but it is not a good hostel for people traveling. The bedrooms windows were never opened so the air was stale. The pool was also dirty and not useable. Honestly, this place gets is not getting worse rating only because of the location and nice reception staff.
